MunaZaldrizoti 8037 Share Posted September 18, 2016 "Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it, you can never get it back." Seraphina sat in her usual chair, staring down at her daughter whilst she slept. She enjoyed just looking at her baby's full cheeks and perfect lips, her spot-free skin and her wisps of brown hair. "She looks just like her father," Sera would say in a whisper, "And I hope her life will be nothing like my own." The fire in hearth crackled with life, but that was the only thing providing warmth in the cold chamber her love had allowed her to stay in. As soon as one stepped away from the flames, they would be met with a wall of chilled air that might send intense shivers up and down their spine. It was no place to raise a child, yet it was all they had and would be given. Sera rose, bringing hand to face and wiping hair from forehead. "This life...I have wasted every moment...every second. I...I..." Her whispers were heard only by the wind, and perhaps by her toddler, but that is when she felt most unhappy. Her friends were either dead, missing, or married happily. Her heroes and idols were all lost with Vailor. Her dignity was gone, her ambition was gone. It felt as if a large hole was left...where a heart should have been. She wished it would all come back, even the times when she was at her lowest point. Her life had been exciting, but now what was it? Sera felt nothing, she wasn't even sure she loved the babe she helped bring into this world, for the child was just a reminder of how low she had gone to regain her life. Staring out the window, looking out over Johannesburg, she wondered if there were women out there, whom she had perhaps avoided or found foul, who were happier in their life than she. Seraphina looked back at her child, then reached up to unlatch her window. She heard her chamber door open and footsteps as she climbed onto the window sill, but she simply smiled lightly and shook her head. Looking down, she saw the river that stretched out & past the capital and wondered if it might carry her away. She heard a shriek as she stepped out, the warm summer wind caressed her body as she came to meet the ground. "It was my birthday today," Sera thought as her mind went black, "Finally...I have given myself the gift of pure peace." Seraphina Warlai [1547 - 1577] r.i.p. ((OOC:)) It was time for Sera to go, I felt her story arc was really over & most of her companions were gone. I look forward to the future and hope that those who's characters were friends with her will remember her fondly. See you guys soon!
