What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Powergaming is Disallowed in its entirety. As an active roleplayer, nothing peeves me more than an overpowered newbie (if that is an acceptable term).

Definitions

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is stepping into a fantasy world (in this case, simulated fantasy world) and interacting to or with the occurrences that happen in the world with a character that you create.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using knowledge your character has not obtained yet to use as an advantage during the game. For instance, there’s been a gold rush, and despite your character not knowing anything about mining or collecting resources, you somehow manage to know exactly where and how to get all the goldz.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power emoting (or power gaming) is a way to not only affect your character, but others as well. It’s a way to give advantage to yourself by taking away control from another person. For example, “you reach for your grandmum’s chocolate chip cookies and pry it from her hand, breaking her fingers in the process.”

That’s unrealistic and it’s unfair because grandmum didn’t have a chance to react and who is going to break poor, frail grandmum's fingers?

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)
As a child, Grathaur grew up on Jazira, having been captured at a very young age to be a pet to a prestigious captain of the sea. He was raised to be a bodyguard, loyal to the captain until he turned 17  when his captain fell to skin cancer and liver failure during their escape from Orgon’s plague. Grathaur made it through the portal to Axios, but had no idea where to go from there. His goal is to find others like him and learn how to craft armor, now that he is a free kha. Perhaps he’ll go to Sutica for the familiarity of being around humans or Haria, since that seems to be a seafaring city.

 

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)
Grathaur is cheerful, honest, and obedient. He prefers to talk things out with people from captains who feel as though they’ve been betrayed to crew members who feel as though the kharajyr is being treated better than the crew. When that doesn’t work, he uses non-lethal tactics to incapacitate and capture opponents.

 

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?)
Since Grathaur has always been a bodyguard to a ships captain, he’s seen a lot of merchandise come and go from the cargo holds. His favorite items to ship was armor. He’s always felt a connection to armor and wondered how metal could be crafted so uniquely. So, Grathaur wants to be an Armorer, even though he has no prior knowledge on how to craft it.

 

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?)
Besides being a bodyguard, Grathaur also loaded and organized merchandise within the cargo hold, causing him to build quite a toned body. He’s got some combat training, and while he likes using non lethal methods, he knows how to wield a sword.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?)

Grathaur is Soft of Heart, his sensitive side disallowing him to land a finishing blow on anyone. He's extremely prone to seduction, and he's only as bright as the learning he's receive from being on the sea (take that as you will). He has a light allergy to peanuts, and he’s also afraid of winged bugs (and is especially afraid of wasps)

 

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?)

Grathaur is a 6'1" Muscular Tigrasi with the same hair color that his fur is. He has green eyes, and a brown nose. He wears a sleeveless shirt with a leather belt around his waist, a pair of pants that have been cut off to the knee, and he also has leather forearm covers.
