ski_king3 0 Share Posted October 16, 2016 A lone elf steps into the center of the square in Haelun'or, beside the fountain. As was customary, he gathered the attention of the crowd, albeit a rather small one, before speaking to those before him. "Citizens of Haelun'or, I address you today briefly in hopes that I can better Haelun'or. We exist in a miserable state of affairs, stagnant and lacking in a great many ways. Our new Sohaer recognizes this, and seeks to restore Haelun'or to where it once stood, populated and at the height of discovery and betterment, embodying the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya to its fullest. I have been gone from elcihi for quite some time, yet what I have returned to has disappointed me, and thus I shall work tirelessly to better it. We must welcome more to our city, and look outward to draw those back who should truly live among other children of silver. As such, I, Icarus Adil, do challenge the standing Tilruir'mali, Acaele Lazul, for his position. There is no need to speak of the stagnancy he has wrought now, for the few mali who happen to stand among us can surely see this. Yet if he does not wish to accept the challenge outright, I hope that an open forum will allow him to answer for his inactivity, and myself to propose a better status quo. Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya." Lest further remarks were offered, the elf would step away from his position of prominence, returning home to continue his work.
Parion 1130 Share Posted October 17, 2016 Parion Tahn'thill subdues any adjustment in expression as he observes the succeeding speech - perhaps at most, a light etching of cheer catching the boundaries of his exterior features. When the right occasion arose, he'd sharply interject with the following - directed to any near-sited mali'thill, "A fresh addition to elcihi, indeed... Yet his extraordinary initiative, conviction and broad enthusiasm has spoken on behalf of his explicit potential. Icarus' attachment to elheial'thilln would be both a delight and a practical course." He reserves himself in succession, his silence being the compliant factor to grant the dismissal of those who might've taken the time to listen.
