Confused, yet angered, the witchdoctor, Olnin, stood beside the lively tree within the Mokh’Ilzgul’s camp. Glaring heavily at the tree, he spat on one of the roots.

“Disgusting. Revolting. A work of a druid in our camp,” the goblin said with disdain.

Olnin flailed his arms around and jumped up and down, beginning to throw a childish tantrum.

“I can’t! I can’t! I just cannot allow this!” He shouted at the face of the tree, glaring at where the carving’s eye would be.

In his own rage, the witch reached into his satchel and pulled out various decayed limbs before beginning to toss the rotten flesh around the tree, as he prepared a ritual.

“I will take care of it all…” He growled.

The goblin took a deep breath and lifted his head toward the starlit sky. For a second, a loud but brief noise escaped Olnin until his eyes rolled back, eyelids closed, and his body fell to the floor as he went into a deep sleep.

Shrouded in darkness, Olnin woke up in a different place he had been just moments before. A falling sensation overcame him and once he blinked, he found himself in a forest.

Rays of sunlight leaked through the canopies of the trees. Colorful flora decorated the light green hued grass and various fauna crossed through the trees; from bears, to birds, to deers.

“Why?” spoke a booming, unfamiliar voice, “So much hatred toward my creations and champions.”

Olnin glanced about the wild environment and said, “Who speaks to me?”

The odd voice chuckled and manifested from a green orb into a giant, black wolf with sharp teeth, crimson eyes, and an eerie black fog encompassing him.

“Freygoth. Spirit of the wild, nature, and animals.” The beast shouted, his voice echoing throughout the forest.

The goblin moved away from the fearsome creature, “W-why! Why have you summoned me here?”

The wolf laughed before emitting a low grow and moving to pounce the witch.

Olnin squeezed his eyes tight, however, nothing had happened. He cracked open his eyelids to find himself surrounded in a dark green mist.

“Rethink what you do. For the druids and shamans are a unity and meant to work in tandem.” The spirit’s voice rang in the Shaman’s head and with that his eyes closed shut.

Awaking from the ground, Olnin tilted his head at the face of the tree with a new understanding.
