Barrel and Void; A Medeusculor Crafted.

DISCOLIQUID

Rem finished up the filing of the golden innards of the weapon before her, setting in a serpentine suggestion of rifling into the barrel of the odd weaponry before her. After dropping the final, arcane gem into the center of the stock, Rem screwed the lengthy barrel upon the base of the rifle. She raised the tool, and eyed the poor craftsmanship of the prototype.

"Rough. Needs smoothing," She would murmur to herself. Her words would be penned into old parchment as she continued to inspect her work.

"I could have made this a bit straighter.. but it should work." Rem would rise, offering the barrel of the weapon towards the set of targets she had stuffed with wool and straw. A moment of focus stole the noise from the room, leaving Rem to point the rifle at the clump of straw as arcanic energies filled the thin barrel of the gun. She leveled her sight with the collection of targets, and, pulling at the small trigger and releasing her spell, watched as a bolt of pink arcanism shot forth and slammed into the dummy.

"Perfect," She chimed, slinging the medeusculor over her back. "Now to refine the work."

Twin medeusculor "flintlocks" rested in a small chest. Their maker peered into the strongbox at delicately carved creations before slowly shutting the lid "for another time" he said as the seal of the chest formed over itself, a bright pulse of radiant light signaling the spell had been completed "it is still too soon." The lockbox was then tucked away through a rift of nothingness, the blank reality of the void.
