Character’s name: Realynn

Character’s sex: Female

Character’s race: Human, highlander

Character’s age: 22-23 years

Biography: Realynn was born in a small village community in the cold northern lands, although nobody is certain of the date, as it was a particularly harsh winter there in late 1566 to early 1567 and the days had melded together with the unending cold. Her mother died in childbirth, as well as a second and smaller daughter that had been lost within hours to the cold, leaving Realynn without her other half and alone aside from her father. The man did all he could to try and feed his young daughter, but without the added support of his wife, there simply was not enough to keep both of them properly fed. After resorting to allowing himself to starve in order to keep his only child alive, Realynn's father died from illness in early spring of 1575, leaving Realynn just barely old enough to have learned some skill in hunting small game. The next five years were spent in a delicate balance between keeping fed and maintaining the only possessions she had, a child's bow, the bow her father used, and a small hut that lacked any proper architecture, leaving Realynn to constantly attempt to repair it with just as bad of architecture. Her hunting left her a fair skill in acrobatics, learning to scale trees to avoid predators and later on, to get a better view of her prey. Her greatest skill laid in her archery, easily adjusting her aim to match the arc of her arrow as it found its target, but because swords and daggers were difficult to find in her community, she never obtained any skill with blades, leaving her rather awkward when using one, even when cooking. Realynn learned from her father to read and write, but she never quite understood numbers, which later made her finances go way off balance for a long time, as she spent almost anything she earned off of her hunts. She also developed a strong dislike for anything feline after a particularly hungry Karin had trapped her in a tree as a young girl. As she grew older, Realynn came to despise the life she had in the village, fearing that she would face the same fate as those around her, dying unusually young for a human without ever truly living. It had been years since anybody had given birth successfully, between the stress of pregnancy and the harsh conditions of the land. Eventually, she'd had enough of living meager and struggling to survive. Taking her father's old bow and an old cloak made from brown rabbit's furs, Realynn left her childhood home and ventured south, hoping that she would find a new life in the heartland of the Orenian Empire.

Personality Traits: Realynn has a tendency to get lost in urban areas, possesses a fondness for animals (although she dislikes cats in general), and often grows impatient with leading a life that she considers "stagnant" (IE harvesting in a field every single day or working the same craft)

Ambitions: Realynn seeks to live a greater life than the highlanders she knows, to live beyond basic survival and create something worth living for

Strengths/Talents: Realynn excels at archery and acrobatics, her favorite way to hunt being to scale a tree and shoot from the branches, and she has a talent for making crafts from paper, when she can obtain it

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Aside from her utter lack of direction in cities, Realynn is terrible with blades in general, unable to use daggers, swords, or even knives effectively, and she tends to panic near children, having never seen children for a large portion of her life. She is utterly incapable when it comes to any large numbers, making it near impossible to handle herself financially.

Appearance: Realynn comes in unusually small for a highlander, likely due to lack of nutrition as a young child, at a mere five feet tall and 85 pounds in weight. She keeps long dark brown hair cut to above her shoulders, except for a thin braid in back that reaches to her waist. Her deep blue eyes are her most striking feature, while a small smattering of freckles dot the bridge of her nose, sparse enough that they are impossible for many to see from a distance. Her clothes are plain in appearance, bearing no color aside from different shades of a dull, unflattering beige, and aside from a blue ribbon tying the end of her braid in place, she has no accessories or jewelry.
