What is roleplaying?: Getting in character and becoming someone who you aren't. Kind of like filling the role of a character in a play except you control the actions of the being.

What is metagaming?: Using OOC knowledge in game with your in RP character. Like being told money is being given away at xyz on skype and logging in and getting your character to go to xyz.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: An example of this would be "Bob punches Rob in the face knocking out his teeth." This is an example of power-emoting as the person had no way of reacting to the action that was forced on their character.

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Aelga was born to two Raevir parents who worked as day laborers in the city of Felsen in the isle of Felsen. A year after their arrival in the isles of Axios, Olga Kvetsheva gave birth to Aelga in St.Karlsburg in 1572 where they would live with the sizable Highlander population that lived there. Aelga became literate through her mothers teaching and from going to attend church, but her father was distant as he was employed as a town guard who often had to stay away on long night shifts. She developed red hair despite being born with some highlights of blonde and grew to about the height of 5'6 and stagnated there for the rest of her life. Aelga never cut her hair, but constantly takes care of it to make sure no loose end or curls develop. After losing her father in a minor conflict with raiders from Uraguan and her mother increasing in age, Aelga set out to see more of the world. She traveled to the Dominion of Malin in an attempt to meet some Elves and she was met with a mix of welcomes and hostility. In 1594 with Haense-Ruska developing into an independent Kingdom Aelga was overjoyed and she was happy that her people could now be independent and strong.

For the past few years Aelga has worked on staying fit by doing odd jobs such as hunting and lumberwork, this has lead to her having a more muscled body than the average women. Aelga believes that her physical activity and "un-ladylike" activities are alright due to her lower-class origins. However, Aelga also strives to always look nice making sure that her hair is clean and done in a nice fashion, clothes are kept in order, and to always have a clean appearance. Growing board, Aelga hopes that she can join in if a new conflict arises so that she may be able to sneak her way into royal life and owning land of her own. For now...she just does odd jobs in St.Karlsburg looking for a chance to advance further in life.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Aelga is very clean and this is reflected in her home and appearance. She tends to be loud and talkative as she was raised to speak up for what you wish to be heard. She is irritated by those that are lazy or seem to not try at all as she believes one must put forth a lot of effort into making the world what you want.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) She aspires to be a land owner and a member of nobility so that she can get out of living in the rented houses of St.Karlsburg. Internally, she hopes that she will commit a great action that will put her in the history books.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Physical labor, athletics, and keeping a good appearance are all strengths that Aelga has.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Aelga does not really know when it is time to not speak up or when it is time to give respect to certain individuals. She lacks some basic knowledge od upper class social cues and ways often acting like a dumb-peasant despite her intelligence.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) She has long red hair that is often worn in braids or in a large bun. When she is out working she wears a light mail chest piece and puts her hair in two long braids. She has light green eyes and her skin tone is usually pale white, but sometimes after working outside for a little it tans. She stands at 5'6 and around 132 pounds...most of her weight is lean muscle due to her constant work of physical labor.
