I've just started exploring everything LotC has to offer and thought I'd introduce myself before I submit my application and (hopefully!) join you guys in RP! My name is Unitatle! (Before you ask, a unitatle is unicorn-potato-turtle hybrid, basically my spirit animal.) I'm 19 years old, and come from a place up North where the air hurts your face during the winter and where it snows for 9 months out of the year (seriously it's snowing right now). I enjoy drawing even though I'm not great at it, writing, games (I'm obsessed with Breath of the Wild right now, like what a masterpiece), and travelling. I'm nearly done my first year in university where I'm working on a Computer Science degree! Exams actually start on Saturday, so I /should/ be studying for the next little while before I get too engrossed in the RP here. I RPed for a year or two during my high school days and am really looking forward to get back into it! I've always been a fan of elves and would like to have a High Elf character on this server, so if anyone has any tips/advice to share about playing them (or anything else really!) JuliusAakerlund 2402 Share Posted April 5, 2017 Well first thing you'll notice is that the races on LoTC is in a lot of ways different to that of Lord of the rings, so elves are a lot more reserved and a lot more racist and definately not the friendliest bunch to outsiders. Basically think Lord of the rings but all of their attributes taken to an extreme. Now as someone that used to play a high elf I can definately say there are solid reasons for this RPely. Just keep in mind that if you pick a High Elf you'll more than likely end up RPing with only elves unless you want to end up being questioned for your purity. TinyBiceps 569 Share Posted April 5, 2017 hey! my only tip is try to play an interesting person not the the generic high elf. as in your only attributes are being obsessed with purity, racist, and not being religious. of course you can have these traits but it gets tiring to play if they're your only character aspects. spicing it up never hurts! i'm also open to questions if you have any. :) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
