What is roleplaying?: Role playing would be being in character, pretending to be someone else. A first person game where you make a character and play as them.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming would be using outside knowledge to impact inside of character. Lets say for example, I have a town. I hear outside of rp that I am going to be attacked, and have guards come protect me. It would be meta-gaming because my character would have no way of knowing such thing was going to happen.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Putting yourself in a position of power against another player. Such as- "She takes his sword away and stabs him." Instead of "she tries to grab his sword."

Character’s name: Esyae Kevaethil

Character’s sex: female

Character’s race: Wood Elf.

Character’s age: 38 (still quite a young elf)

Biography:
Esyae comes from an odd, and unconventional background. At the age of four, the tiny elven girl was dropped somewhere close to the outskirts of Linandria. She was found by an older Elf by the name of Elion. Seeing a small stranded girl, he took her hand and led her to his home close to Linandria. This could have gone badly, but luckily enough, Elion was a man of good character, who had already adopted another girl, named Yastria. Yastria was only 2 years older than Esyae, and therefor, they quickly became friends and spend most of their time together. When she'd been found, the only thing that remained of where she came from had been two blue bracelets she'd been holding, which at the time, were too big for her wrists. She'd worn them as soon as she grew into them, knowing that they were a clue as to where she came from. Elion never made anyone aware of his seed, nor did he give any information of himself. He seemed to be very mysterious, although kind and loving. Although this was the case, they did know he was an expert woodworker, having made both of them bows. They also knew he was one of the worshippers of the Aspects, and heard rumors that he was old enough to have at one point seen or lived in Elandriel. 
Growing up, Esyae and Yastria practiced archery together. They would practice vigorously, eventually becoming well trained hunters. Esyae's right arm was covered with odd birthmark type marks that were slightly lighter than the rest of her skin, for this reason she felt a bit self conscious around others. Regardless of that, Yastria loved her like a sister, and they remained very close for a long time. When the girls were 28 and 30, Elion had passed from old age. They didn't quite know how old he was, they only knew he was old enough for them to tell he had been coming to and end of his years. Elion's passing was quite sad for the girls, as he was a father figure and the only parent that had stuck around throughout their lives. In Elions death, the girls had taken over his house and shared it, neither wanted to leave and be on their own. As time passed, them now being 34 and 36, they were still very much becoming better hunters. The girls were very playful with each other, their years meaning nothing as in their hearts they were still children. They would play many pranks on each other, and usually, they were harmless. These pranks would have a devastating ending.

One day, Esyae was hunting alone in the woods. As far as she was aware, Yastria had gone for the day, although she didn't know where the girl was going. Esyae had been hunting in a forest quite the ways away from their home near Linandria, although this was the normal spot that they decided to hunt, as there were many animals about. Esyae was listening closely, waiting, with her bow drawn, as she heard the snap of a twig nearby her. Fearing it was an animal about to attack her or an unfriendly visitor, she released her arrow, shooting right into the chest of Yastria. 

Yastria had been following the girl, deciding to wait until the right opportunity to jump out and scare her. Not realizing the dangerous nature of doing so, she jumped out at simply the wrong time. Esyae was filled with regret as she held Yastria in her arms, weeping. The arrow proved to be fatal, Yastria passing away. As Esyae stood at the funeral for her beloved sister and best friend, she vowed to never pick up a bow again. After awhile of wandering, Esyae was walking home  one day when she was struck on the back of her head by something, falling unconscious. She woke later, having lost her memory, unaware of everything besides her name.
 

Personality Traits: She bites her lip when she is nervous. Very shy, withdrawn, does not speak often. 

Ambitions: As a child, she wished to master the skill of archery.

Strengths/Talents: Archery, Carving figurines out of wood.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: She is very shy. Could use work in improving her social skills.

Appearance: Esyae is 5'1, relatively short for an Elf. Long black hair, blue eyes. Her right arm is covered in an odd array of birthmarks (or a large birth mark if you prefer to call it that) covering her arm, slightly lighter than the rest of her skin. Always wears two blue bracelets on her left arm.
