What’s the rule you agree with the most?: In previous roleplay servers I’ve played on rules regarding metagaming were lax, this led to many problems and often ruined the RP experience.  Seeing the LOTC rules on metagaming is refreshing and I’m looking forward to playing on a server where such rules are both established and enforced.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!):The rules make sense to me!

What is roleplaying?: In my opinion, roleplaying is adopting the life of another person, a character you can develop and groom as you see fit.  It allows you to act with that character’s personality and story in mind and thus create a story all your own. 

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using information in roleplay that you obtained OOCly.  It is often done intentionally to avoid or cause certain circumstances within the roleplay story.  However, it is also often done at an unconscious level, for instance, a player’s character doesn’t like someone else IG character because of how that player acts OOCly.  Being aware of these biases is critical to keeping a good roleplay story alive and well.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power-emoting or god-moding is using roleplay to make your character over powered or causing things to happen in rp without taking the proper route.  I.e. *Cephas would throw his dagger at the man, it screams through the air and imbeds itself within his skull.  A sickening crack is heard as the man is killed swiftly*

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Cephas’ earliest memories place him wandering the roots of Mount Thahn at age 19.  Cephas is a human male in search of his past, he travels from city to city, village to village, searching for answers.  The man’s age is only a guess as he has no way to verify it, he has no home and sleeps where he is able doing menial jobs to earn funds.  Cephas is skilled with a blade, having developed the art through his travels and adventures fending off bandits and monsters.  Through Cephas’ endless search for the answers around his past he has developed a love of learning, he thirsts for knowledge of any kind and makes every effort to obtain it. 

Cephas is a tall dark haired man with a slender but solid frame.  His eyes are a bleak gray and he wears a poorly trimmed beard.  Currently, Cephas is making his way back to Mount Thahn, where is memories begin, as he hopes he can learn something there.  Cephas has been seen in many places across Axios and has consequently made many friends along the way.   When not travelling Cephas can typically be found in the Kingdom of the Westerlands doing his usual odd jobs for anyone willing to employ him.

 Cephas is very friendly and hardworking, he is extremely loyal, he has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and spends time seeking it out.  Cephas has developed a very acute sense of personality judgement and is able to make friends quickly and ascertain the emotions others attempt to hide.  Cephas can often be single minded when presented with certain tasks and often allows his focus to narrow to a dangerous level.  Cephas aims to develop his ability to build relationships, while he may have friends and seem close he has difficulty trusting others.  Cephas’ relationships are often superficial and he has a tendency to hide his true emotions.
