Mehl 25 Share Posted July 23, 2017 A Long-Lost Delevoye Found It would be the dead of night when an armoured ‘ker and his companion would knock upon the Delevoyes’ door in Leyu’celia. Those present would rush to the door, anxious to see who would be knocking at this time. The late-night breeze would sway the banners and hangings outside the door, conveying the family colours to the strange ‘ker. Once the door was opened, the ‘ker would greet Arabella, head of the Delevoye household, with a solemn tone of voice. He would speak. “Arabella Rosalie Delevoye. We,” he gestures to himself and his companion, ‘Have come to inform you of the whereabouts of your long-lost aunt, Cora Delevoye. We know you have been searching for her for many decades now…” he would trail off. Those present would urge him to speak further, to answer and clarify. “A few days ago, her body was found near Ker’nor. I apologise for your loss.” He would bow his head in respect. The present Delevoyes would ask, “Where is she? May we see her?” He would reply. “She is in the Medical Tent, but I must warn you. She has wounds...deep cuts on her arms and torso. We have not been able to figure out what caused these, but whatever did this shall be caught, or Ancestors help us.” He would motion for them to follow. “Come. You may see her now.”
Areln 199 Share Posted July 23, 2017 Damon Delevoye would hear the commotion from around the tent, a sorrowful silence taking over his person as he'd linger behind the leaving group. The elf would soon retreat back to his room to gather up an armful of items, with a soft murmur of; "Grandhaelun.." only for him to hurry out a few moments later, tears pooling in his eyes. --- Those exploring the forests nearby Leyu'celia might spot a small shrine erected at the base of a large oak, pearly white ribbons tied to the trees branches and lacing around its trunk. A plaque carved into stone would lean against the trunk, adorned in ribbons and covered with bouquets of flowers. It'd read: "To the best Grandhaelun and family member a person could ask for, I hope you find peace."
ChaoticallyCheshire 637 Share Posted July 23, 2017 Arabella Rosalie Delevoye frowns, tears misting her eyes as she'd set her sights upon the body. Gripping her hands together tightly in front of her she'd let out a shaky sigh, nodding. "We'll avenge you Auntie, and soon your soul will be with your daughter once more.." Quickly turning on her heels, she'd proceed to Ker'nor, seeking out a priest or priestess to hold a funeral for her deceased family member.
Diddyski 132 Share Posted July 23, 2017 Kalvo would rush towards to tent hearing the news, he'd push past everyone to the front of the bed. He'd pause looking at Cora's limp body resting on the bed. His eyes would start to fill up with tears. His hands would be shaking his voice crackled as he spoke "M-my dear Cora.. h-how can this be.." he'd kneel down at the side of the bed going to hold her stone cold hand "M-my letters to you.. we talked all the time.. so this is why you didn't reply for so long.." Kalvo would pause going to wipe the tears from his cheeks. He'd then stand up turning to the others "I-I can't be here.. I need to time to recover from th-this.. she was like a daughter to me.. the memories.. the memories are all I have n-now.." Kalvo would then storm past everyone heading to his dark burnt out lab sobbing as he locks up the door and barricades himself in. If someone was to follow him to the lab he would ignore them still sobbing. Anyone who would knock on the door later that day might get a response..
