Dogged 2879 Share Posted March 23, 2018 House Ludevar Crest __________________________________________________________________________________________ As Markev is deserted and ransacked Prince Jakob Ludvik looks outside his window down upon the town. “All we sought we righteousness but Reantus-Marna had other plans for us. Now we meet our end.” he’d sigh rubbing his eyes laying back onto his bed. As the Royal Medicus walked into his room. Jakob greeted the man with a smile. The Royal Medicus diagnosed him with Typhoid “I’m sorry Your Highness.” Jakob started to stumble on his words “D-does that mean I won’t be able to watch my son escape from Reivers?” The doctor nodded. A tear drips down his frail and pale face. “M-my Adrijana,” He held a small portrait of his wife murmuring “‘til death do we part.” “Am I going to die like my father?” He’d cries out. The Medicus nods shamefully that he couldn’t save the rightful and just Prince. “Bring me my son, Jakob.” he’d commands his servant. As his servant brings his son he rushed to his side “Papa!” “My son,” Jakob would begin to cough but trying to continue with the rest of his strength he could muster. “I have two requests as I lay here on my deathbed, take care of your mother and set your brother free, he needs to live his life as the rest of us, now run along my child. He closes his eyes. As death approached him very much like his father Jakob said “Why? Why Now?” Death chuckles at the Prince “It is your time.” Jakob tried to argue “No, not now! I need more time.” Death said “It is your time. Life is to short for everyone.” Jakob nodded as he his condition got considerably worse. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Adrijana Sophia Ruthern, Oil Circa 1646 __________________________________________________________________________________________ Prince Jakob Ludvik Ludevar Barbanov, Oil Circa 1646 __________________________________________________________________________________________ Jakob lived for one reason. To make his own father proud but after his death life had other plans. He had an extraordinary life. One that took him on adventures he never dreamed of as a child but as we all know life is to short. The bells in Haense toll 3 times signaling the death of a Barbanov. Requiesce in pace Prince Jakob Ludvik Barbanov-Ludevar “The only thing that will stop me is my own will.” 1612-1656

floop 147 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Henrik Otto looks at the man his nephew became. He thinks back to pushing young Jacob on the swing in Alban, better days. He'd greet his Cousin's bastard with a soft smile and nothing more.
