Which tiles are free?

As the title says , is was wondering which of the map tiles are unowned by a nation and that i would be able to get a charter of.

 

Also i couldn't find a fitting forums for this question so i am posting it here.

Charters do not exist, freebuild does though. There are also many freebuild towns and villages you could join or become a vassal/protectorate of.

You cannot get a charter. You can, however, build in freebuild

 As others have mentioned you can build your own thing, but I'm going to tell you straight away. If you will go on freebuild and make your own thing expecting great RP to come your way, it will not happen. I suggest you first go ahead and join some big nation, so you can begin to understand the server, before jumping right into going off alone and solo. Many new players drop from LOTC because of high hopes for their "personal" stuff. To create your own thing that will last and be relevant in slightest, it's going to take you at least few weeks to months.
