THE 1695 BELVITZ BY-ELECTION

13^th of Owyn’s Flame, 1695

       Shortly after the 1693 elections, recently re-elected CCP Prefect of Belvitz, Antanios Opal Rutledge, was murdered. The horrendous tragedy was quickly publicized and made public knowledge, sparking a series of small-scale riots in Belvitz. Currently, the local guard force, the Imperial Legion’s investigative division, and a Parliamentarian judicial committee lead by Lord Temporal Castelo are investigating the murder. In the meantime, Pandir Millinis has been appointed as temporary Prefect until sufficient elections can be held – which are now to be held promptly. All those interested in running for Prefect of Belvitz, we implore you to read the information below.

 

Requirements for Candidacy

All candidates for Prefect of Belvitz must meet the aforementioned prerequisites, per the Statute of Carolustadt. The Imperial Election Commission will extensively review each and every applicant to ensure these standards are fulfilled.

 

• To be of at least Gentry, Burgher, or Yeoman social status, or in the immediate family of such individuals
• To have resided in your given Prefecture for at least four Saint’s weeks at the time of the election
• To be at least twenty-five years of age
• To be a full-blooded human
• To subscribe to the Canonist faith or a denomination of such
• To possess the ability to read and write proficiently
• To own property in your Prefecture, such as a house
• To be registered to vote
