“It has come to the attention of the Imperial Election Commission that the Calculus Party nominee, Gleb, cannot provide sufficient evidence of citizenship. In addition, he cannot provide suitable proof of his residency within the capital city of Carolustadt. In accordance with the 1681 Statute of Carolustadt, signed by the late Imperial Majesty, Aurelius I, he is to be disqualified in order to maintain the integrity of our democratic institutions. The Imperial Arch-Chancellor’s office has temporarily seized control of electoral operations, and is in the process of redistributing Calculus Party ballots to their rightful owners. Constituents will be eligible to vote for another candidate of their choice.

The Imperial Legion has been deployed in the capital to ensure that disenfranchised voters remain quelled in this time of unrest. Peace must be maintained in the Imperial capital. Without civility, we have nothing.

We sincerely apologize for this mishap, an error in government bureaucracy. I, commissioner Rhys var Ruthern, take full responsibility for this oversight, and ensure the grand people of the Empire it shall not occur again.”

- Director of the Imperial Election Commission, Rhys Vladrick var Ruthern
