Dost thou seek virtue? Brotherhood? Purpose? Do you seek GOD? Among us, thou mayst find Him. We are an Order of monks dedicated to our Patron Saint’s learned legacy, one of total commitment to poverty, chastity and obedience, and a respect for cultured literacy, scholastic thinking and high morality. If thou art a man willing to sacrifice everything, and a man animated my love for God and his neighbour, there is a good chance thou art called to the Brotherhood. Our motto?

 

’ECCE QUAM BONUM, HABITARE FRATES IN UNUM!’  (Behold how goodly, for Brothers to dwell in unity!)

We also accept Oblates – lay members or clergy who do not take the full vows, but associate themselves with our Order. They promise to keep our ways as best they can in their lives, whilst also agreeing with our core values: rigorous prayer, wisdom and learning, the brotherhood of all men, and devotion to our Holy Father, Saint Jude the Abbott. Our current number include: 1 Abbott (Obviously), 2 Brothers, 3 Novices and 2 Postulantes. In addition, we have several Oblates from the clergy. Men and women can be Oblates, but obviously only men can be Monks!
