The May Reunion

“You actually came..” Terrence muttered, leaning against the side of the opened gate. Before him stood three men he hadn’t seen in years. Despite them being his kin, the temptations of an Imperial career and the many fair maidens that came with it, became more important to Terrence than distant and hesitant relatives. Ohh it had been years of silence between Terrence and them. But now that he was Chairman of the Board of Notaries: his life felt empty. He was almost exclusively surrounded by nobility with grotesque family trees. He was confronted by the reality that his isolated pursuit of meaning, left with him no-one that he felt connected to.

 

It was for that reason that Terrence sent a letter to his brother & cousins. While of course hopeful, he didn’t expect his relatives to actually take the long rail to Helena. With punctionality befitting the family character, three figurines walked up to Terrence right on time. It was his brother Rhydence and his two cousins: Lawrence & Pence. After a nonchalant greeting, the four walked to the tavern to catch up. Everyone hoped that this would be the beginning of a great chapter, because now they were no longer alone.
