An Apology to the Silver State

To the Blessed Diarchy of Haelun’or and its citizenry,

 

I, Richard the Red, wish to extend my apology to you all, regarding my actions. Yes, I am alive. I arrived at your city on the premise of a diplomatic meeting, alongside the Auvergnian, Orphee. My faith in Orphee was strong. I believed him to be a man of GOD, and so when the accusations were brought forth, I could not believe it. Perhaps, I refused to believe it. It was for this reason I defended him. I drew my sword as guards approached myself and Orphee. I had no intent to kill anyone. I simply did what I believed to be my duty. It was for this, that you threw me off the cliffs and left me to die. And Orphee, that wretch, did not say a word. GOD had saved me from a ghastly fate, but I must now live with the knowledge that I protected a man most dishonourable. 
 

Yet now, I understand the truth of the matter. The truth dawned upon me, and I realised how I had been deceived by a heretical being who lacked moral values. I understand my mistake. I ask for your forgiveness. My blind faith in that thing obscured my perception of reality, and now I am left broken. GOD bless you favourable allies. I hope you have the mercy to forgive my actions.
