     This declaration is my covenant with the people of Helena.

 

RULE OF THE PEOPLE

 

     I’m committed to the principles of government by a self-controlled democracy with a GOD imposed Emperor or Empress, but expressing its PEOPLE’s will through representatives.

 

HIGH COST OF LIVING

 

     I advocate the immediate lowering of all taxes in the Holy Oren Empire. The cost of living in our great Empire is too high for the common man chasing many away into the streets or sewers for survival. A prime example is former Lord Mayor of Helena, Gustav Ratmane who was driven into the sewers for survival and is now insane.

 

NATIONAL DEFENSE

 

      The survival of our civilization is the barbaric system of warfare among nations. I pledge myself to use substitute judicial and other peaceful means of settling international differences. Along with adding a paycheck of five hundred mina every other saints week to all ISA enlisted soldiers. To the officers the paycheck would be seven hundred and fifty mina every other week.  

 

CITIZENS ABROAD

 

      I pledge myself to protect the rights of Orenian citizenship at home and abroad. No treaty should receive the sanction of our Government which discriminates Orenian citizens because of birthplace, race, or religion, or that does not recognize the absolute right of migration.

 

LIVERY BOARD ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 

     As a member of the Livery Council for the past three years, I pushed through the all important Lake Town Act of 1757. Which allowed for the expansion of the City of Helena into the lake. I have also worked on multiple other pieces of legislation and upon my election to the senate they will be submitted to my successor for them to decide if they wish to propose them. As for my previous promises I still stand true in them and will always fight for the Orenian citizen!

 

CONCLUSION

 

     On these principles and on the recognized desirability of uniting the divided population I hereby declare my candidacy for the open seat of Junior Senator of Helena in the 1760 election cycle.
