The Bail Bondsman Act is designed to create proper Judicial Ministry oversight and licensing of bail bondsmen, bounty hunters, and other bail enforcement agents in the Empire.

 

INTRODUCTION:

 

The lack of regulation, definition, and oversight over professional fugitive hunters, bail bondsmen, and other bounty collection practices must end and be brought under the proper rules and regulations of the Ministry of Justice. 

 

SECTION I: Definitions

 

  1. Bail Bondsman: A private entity that pays the fines and other legal fees for a defendant before and after their trial. 

  2. Bail Enforcement Agent: A private entity charged with the tracking, arrest, and returning wanted fugitive to Imperial custody.

  3. Fugitive: A person formally charged with a crime or a convicted criminal whose punishment has not yet been determined or fully served who is currently beyond the custody or control of the national or sub-national government or international criminal tribunal with an interest in his or her arrest.

  4. Bounty Reward: A bounty reward is a subsidy that is paid to a category of persons who have performed a public service. In these circumstances, for the capture of a wanted fugitive. 


 

SECTION II: Licensing

 

  1. It shall be unlawful to serve as a bail enforcement agent without achieving the proper licensing from the Ministry of Justice.

  2. It shall be unlawful to issue bounties and bail bondsmen assignments that are not in line with the statutes found within the Oren Revised Code. 

  3. Licenses, credentials, and potential rewards shall be awarded according to the rules and regulations set by the Ministry of the Justice.

  4. All potential bail enforcement assignments shall only be directly issued or offered from the Ministry of Justice or Ministry approved private bail bondsman companies.

  5. All potential bail enforcement rewards shall only be issued or offered from the Ministry of Justice or Ministry approved private bail bondsman companies. 

  6. An Office of Imperial Bonds & Bounties shall be created under the Ministry of Justice, where licenses and bounties shall be offered and rewarded(O.I.B.B).
