THE IMPERIAL CENSUS, 1777-1787

The Imperial Diet, for which the census was created, has reached its 40th anniversary since the Edict of Establishment, a vibrant institution of Imperial government.

This being so, the Ministry of Civil Affairs follows in the edicts of the Crown, clearing the rolls, and reissuing the census. This census shall last from the year 1777 to 1787.

SECTION I: THE IMPERIAL CENSUS

The following matters shall define the purpose and extent of the Imperial Census.

  • The Imperial census shall be administered throughout the entire Empire for a duration of ten years, beginning in 1777.

  • Upon the completion of a census period, the rolls shall be cleared, and a new census administered to which all subjects are obligated to take.

  • All subjects of His Imperial Majesty are obligated by law to take the census, and sworn under oath to the truth of their responses.

  • All vassals which pledge their fealty to the Crown and hold letters of peerage are henceforth bound by oath to administer the census within their demesne, and forbidden to prevent the administering thereof.

SECTION II: THE NATIONAL ELECTIONS

The following matters particularly pertain to national elections.

  • If the Imperial subject so elects, he may be registered to vote in national elections with a valid residential address.

  • The Imperial subject may not be hindered from registering to vote.

  • If fraud is to be discovered in the registration of voting addresses, the accused may be prosecuted by the full extent of the law, up to and including felony impersonation.
