Law and Order Bill of 374 ES

Introduced in the Duma.

An act to change the criminal classification of the crime of resisting a warrant.

INTRODUCTION

Currently, the Haurul Caezk classifies the crime of resisting a warrant as a middling offense. However, this could encourage criminals to resist warrants that could lead to evidence of a severe offense. In cases such as this, the criminal would instead just be punished for the middling offense of resisting the warrant, and prevent investigation into the severe crime they are suspected of committing.

I. Necessary Definitions

- Warrant: order issued by a Jovenaar granting permission to Royal Detectives to enter any property to search for evidence of wrongdoing.

II. Amendments

- The Haurul Caezk shall be amended to the following:

419.07: The crime of refusing the execution of a warrant shall be a severe offence.

Introduced in Duma by Aldrik Baruch, J.V.  on the 23nd of Gronna & Droba

Co-sponsored by Alderman Aleksandr var Ruthern
