Let this proclamation serve as the guiding words of Lord Marshal Joseph Brandt, as penned by the scribe Libris X. Nihilo, spoken in good spirit and under witness of his lordship the Prince Oliver Renault and the eyes of the most holy GOD. 

 

A well regulated militia, being essential to the security of our state,

the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. 

 

Let the populace of this, the cradle of man under GOD, the Princedom of Savoy, attend these words of admission from the ESHEVEURD BRIGADE as penance for its failings in their diligent protection of GOD’s children His holy servants; for it is under our serene watch that two PRIESTS of the Canon were assailed within our fair city, and that the assailant to this day runs free.

 

On this, the 1840th Saint’s year, we issue a proclamation of wantedness for an agent of devilry within this blessed city; desired dead or delivered to the ESHEVEURD BRIGADE for the crimes of assault, assault upon a priest leading to the events of their murder, heresy, accomplice to murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and devilry. 

 

Dubbed the HELLKITE HERETIC for his cruelty and devilish nature, the assailant is known to be a HUMAN MAN that is black of hair, blue of eyes, tan of skin, sardonic, and unrepentant in his demeanor. A strong and burly man prone to fits of violence, witness accounts vary as the night was dark, but he is said to be nearly two meters tall and to dress in bulky garb. Masquerading as a devout canonist, the man is nonetheless expected to maintain a barbarous appearance in reflection of his disorderly soul. 

 

Citizens, sellswords, and hunters of monsters are encouraged to redouble their prayers for the safety and sanctity of Savoy that we might have GOD's blessing in the heretic’s apprehension, and to report any suspicious behavior to the ESHEVEURD BRIGADE, which is offering a bounty of one hundred mina to any folk hero who would bring the heretic’s body or head to the Esheveurd Bastille that it might be crucified or burned and the ground beneath the pyre consecrated.
