The Third Grenz Konferenz

The peers of the Imperial Frontier are invited to the third Grenz Konferenz to discuss the affairs of the Grenz. The topics to be discussed are as follows.

 

I. The Grenzweg project, headed by the famed Grenzian architect Volker of Arichsdorf. The Grenzweg will connect all frontier settlements and fortifications together with a network of bridges and roads maintenanced and constructed by the Arichsdorf Engineers. This project is already well underway with the demolition of the Ebonwood bridge and the construction of the Lochesbrucke.

 

II. The Grenzwatch, As it stands, it cannot be debated that the Grenz, with perhaps the exception of the Ebonwood territories, is one of the most developed and populous regions in the glorious Empire of Man. The devastation inflicted upon the Lower Petra by the invading coalition has cemented this position. To that end we of the Grenz must do our fair share in defending the Empire of Man.

 

In preparation for the upcoming campaign every  Grenzlord will be expected to bring a certain baseline of soldiers in order to do our duty to the Emperor. Should certain lords require material aid Arichsdorf can assist with food, arms, armour and other such necessities.

 

III. With the elevation of Nikolai von Valles to his new position as Viscount of Valles it is appropriate to discuss future expectations that we as a body deem fit for all Grenzlords. Criteria to be discussed will include

-Prohibitions on absentee landlords, Grenzlords must reside primarily in the Grenz

-As the frontier of the Empire Grenzlords are expected to maintain a minimum standard of personal man at arms and levymen with which to defend both the Grenz and the Empire.

-Grenzlords must consistently attend the Grenz Konferenz or send a representative on their behalf if they are delayed by circumstance.

 

IV. Margravine Laurentina von Arichsdorf will be organizing an Arichsfest to celebrate both Grenz culture and the birth of our son Athelred. At the Arichsfest there will be a special Grenz debut for all families of both the Grenzlords and local Grenz families of note. Each Grenzlord is expected to make themselves present at the Arichsfest and demonstrate a particular face of their local culture and produce.

 

V. As is tradition Fyodor von Dobrov is forbidden from attending the proceedings.
