The Giant Slumbers

 

 

There he sat, Sir Jarad Munnel, he was overwhelmed, The man he swore his loyalty too, Dead, Philip III, he would just sit there taking in the news, Philip gave him his barony, He was Philip's First Knight. Jarad would just walk though Providence and up to the front gates, people where screaming, what where they saying? he couldn't tell.. something about Philips son Fredrick? tic toc tic toc. he wanted the men and followed them to the palace, Fredrick was on the stand, saying something? Something about an empire and a kingdom? he couldn't tell... everything was so hazy. He caught some of it before Fredrick called for petitions. He ask about his land and house. He did not ask it for himself, he asked it for his  family, for Jarad that's all that mattered to him, that all that would matter to him, he loved his family. Sorise, Rose, Ember, Felix and Hera, he loved them all, his wife and kids. He would ride home.. tic toc tic toc. He would head to his room but why did everything feel so hazy? distant? It didn't matter.. he just needed sleep. As he laid down he would close his eyes. For The Giant would Slumber for some time.. He would rest.. He would Relax.. He would be at peace... tic.. toc.. tic.. toc..
