AN INVITATION

House Baruch would like to extend an invitation to all Haeseni and allied peoples to join us for a day of merriment and Ayrikiv maritime heritage on Lake Voron. Since the many voyages of Ser Joren Baruch our noble pedigree has prided itself on the traditions of sailing, whaling, and rowing. In recognition of this history we shall host a pair of sporting contests on the shores of our fair loch to test the seaworthiness of our visitors. Local food and drink will be provided and spectators and competitors alike are encouraged to socialize at the lakeshore or stroll the bucolic streets of Lallybroch town. 

 

These contests shall comprise firstly a race, in which competitors will row through a course on Lake Voron competing to finish in the shortest time. Second, a free-for-all in which competitors will attempt to knock opponents from their rafts in a marked-off section of the lake, with the last standing to be crowned winner. The champions of each contest can expect a purse of 250 mina and a commemorative weapon from the smithy of Castle Lichtestadt. A more formal explanation of the rules for each event will be given on the day of the festivities. May the strongest rowing arm prevail!
