[!] Tacked upon the noticeboard, and just about any space left in the village among the various other campaign signs, is yet another announcement.

 

We weefolk can be likened to a good hard cheese.

We are simple and not prone to unnecessary fanciness. Long-lived. Robust. The products of hard work from generations of talented halfings. But simple as we be, we are good.

We are good people, who deserve to live safely and in comfort. For that, we must work.

 

Having lived in Honeyhill my entire life, I already am, and intend to continue, to be part of that work.

 

As a the village's top cheesemaker, a regular tradeshalfling with our neighboring bigguns, investor on CabbageCoin(TM) and the Hay Stock Market, and having lived through the great Pumpkin Famine of the Troll Times at the wee age of twenty four, I understand perhaps most out of all of us the importance of hard work in of our ways of life.

 

My time as Mayor would be one of education, trade prosperity, and food security. My goals include that of education -- every wee folk will have the chance to learn a skill, be it woodcarving, brewing, tailoring, for to better ourselves against bigguns who may corner our markets and demand money of us!

 

Not only this, but I intend to make sure that Honeyhill is known as the strong, self-governing state we are, so that biggun laws may never be opposed upon us on our own lands. We hobbits live as we see fit, and we have done so in this land for over fifty years now.

 

With the stepping down of my lifelong friend Thain Lily Peregrin, I, Magnolia Fiddleberry, of the Fiddleberry Wine and Cheese Co, and the Fiddleberry Family, am now running for the new position of mayor, so that I may personally ensure we may live as well as we deserve!

 

For prosperity and self sufficiency!
