		Current Events   In Petra, there has been a recent change in the directory!    The Chancellor, Louis d’Azor, was knighted by the Archduchess. Shall he do well within the knights of Petra under the command of Ser Brandt Berhal.    Clementine Amadea of Brasca is now the Master of Medicine, which she has already made quite the renovations in staff and made clear of her plans.    Evangeline Daphne de Roisus-Malenos has been promoted to the role of Master of Pauppen due to her speedy skills of helping newcomers of Alamaris.     Arlotto of Brasca is the new Commander of the Sons of Petra, shall he command with honor and pride of his nation.   The ferrymen have recently raided Petra’s capital numerous times. There are assumptions of a new brewing war to whomever keeps instigating these raids.

Archduke’s Petran of the Year   This Year’s Petran of the Year goes to Connor Sinclair!    Connor is a skilled engineer who engages in both private and government contracts. He is largely responsible for construction of the Great Wall of Jan as well as the bridge that connects Petra and Beaver Peninsula. Connor owns a shop in Valfleur Square, Connor’s Mechanized Dispensary, where you can buy an assortment of his goods!

New Horizons: Newcomer’s Journal     Moving can be an often stressful and trying time indeed. I expected no different from my arrival to the Town of Petra, in fact I anticipated it to be more stressful than most times before. Having been an individual who often “moves’ from one town to the next in search of exploration, and adventure. I was certain my arrival at Petra would be met with wary eyes, and chaotic treatment. However, I was wrong, upon arrival the first thing I noticed were delightful cheeriness of the town officers, a merry band of militant brothers called the Sons Of Petra, they were quite welcoming, and in fact insisted on helping us getting settled in. One guard in particular, by the name of Aldotte, gave me several provisions in an attempt to solidify my comfortability in Petra. When I searched for housing and could find nothing but difficulty, the wonderful Lord Sebastian took me in offering me roon and board in exchange for household services. After a few days of being settled in I found my way merrily around the town, meeting many a new people.  One thing does concern me however, I happened to find myself in the town square one evening where I came upon Aldotte, and two other strangers, one whom was the Mayor and the other who seemed to be a witch of some sorts, upon greeting them I received a mutual response from all except the Mayor whom turned to me and regarded me with nothing but a nod. Imagine my offense at the action, and when I insisted that he’d been rude, I was ordered to be tossed into the river. I’m not one to hold grudges, perhaps the Mayor simply was having troubles at home that put him in a bad mood? Nevertheless, I’ve found my stay quite pleasant and I look forward to uncovering more of the beauties of Petra.   Author: Gideon

The Sons of Petra is open to all! A lot of events occur for these men and women to make sure they are ready for war, and are ready to be called at any time. Currently Commander Lambert is in charge with his trusted officers: Wings, Arlotto, Laurens, and more! It is more than an army, it is a family. You even get nicknames!

 

While the auction house remains closed, Petra offers many stalls for anyone to open! They are rather cheap and are not costly to continue. The community of Petra is often active which will lead to bonds of wealth.

Kor'garr laughs heartily on seeing the specially delivered newspaper arrive in the grasp of a Krugmar courier hawk. "Pervekt! Kor'garr wundur'd howz vrend Evangelyne wuz duing..." The grey orc settles down with some kaktuz-blossom cider to read, roaring fireplace warming the unusually cold weather drifting through the jungles of San'Velku. A relieved sigh seeps from between thick tusks while he reclines in a comfortable pile of plush cushions, leafing through the heavily inked sheets of wood pulp with interest.

"Ztyll juzt'az hozh'ag wroighta az yuzual. Kor'garr zhuld zend dehm anuddah lettur, agh meybi meyk planz tu meet en perzun." He chuckles while learning more of the happenings in Petra, geining knowledge of the world around him and how to more properly format his own newspaper...
