PREAMBLE
The Company of Balian, in order to establish a more organized wartime and clandestine structure within His Majesty’s military, hereby establish the General Staff. The purpose of the General Staff is to establish a branch of military and civilian personnel who will provide tactical and strategic advice to the Constable, the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Balian, and the greater kingdom as a whole. 

 

The office known as the General Staff will be under the office of the Constabulary of Balian. Serving under the Constable of Balian, Don Peter d’Arkent

AUTHORITY
The Authority of the War Office stems from the powers of the Constable granted to him by the Royal Crown of Balian to maintain and ensure the Kingdom of Balian’s military presence and strength. With the Powers of the Constable, they empower the Chief of the General Staff to create and prepare plans of strategy and tactical intelligence for the Armed Forces of Balian. 

OFFICE STRUCTURE

The Constable of the Crown - Head of the Armed Forces of Balian. 

 

Chief of the General Staff - The Chief of the General Staff of Balian is to manage the day to day operations of the General staff, ensuring that their subordinates are tasked. For one to ascend to the rank Chief of Staff, they must hold military rank. 

 

Tribune - A military or Civilian staff member that assists the War Office. They will assist their chief in creating plans to be presented to the Constable for final writ, which will be implemented by the Armed Forces of Balian.

DUTIES

The duties of the General staff will be to prepare plans and report to the Constable of Balian, who will in turn bring it to the Royal Duana for further consultation if it involves their office. They will also be asked to  properly analyze and prepare the Armed Forces of Balian with timely information and battle plans that will assist them in combating their foes. 

 

The maintenance and publishing of records regarding the Armed forces of Balian and the missions performed shall also be imperative, alongside ensuring proper communication is held between all offices involved in any given operation.
