PRINCIPALITY OF THE CARITAS

We establish this document as the foundation of the Principality of the Caritas. It is within this Constitution that we find a way forward.

 


 

SECTION I

On the Prince of the Caritas

I - The Prince is the Head of State of Caritas and shall be from the House of Hope.

 

II. - Duties of the Prince shall be the following:
II.I - Appointments of the Marshalls of the Caritans.

II.III - Ensuring the responsibilities of Marshalls are upheld.

II.IV - Ensuring the stability of the Principality of Caritas.

 

SECTION II

Establishing the Marshalls of the Caritas

I - The Marshalls of Caritas shall be an advisory board appointed by the Prince for the duration of the Prince's reign.


II. - The Marshall of the North Mark shall be tasked with maintaining diplomatic relations with surrounding nations and settlements.

II.II - Duties of The Marshall of the North Mark

II.IIa Sending and managing diplomats to surrounding nations to discuss diplomatic matters.

II.IIb Maintaining alliances with other nations and settlements.

II.IIc Sending and managing scouts to survey any suspicious entities or activity if necessary.

II.IIe Welcoming new Esquires to Caritas and helping them choose the appropriate housing, granting citizens permissions.

II.IIf Welcoming new visitors, directing them to any services they may need and answering questions on behalf of the Prince.

 

III.I - The Marshall of the South Mark shall be tasked with upholding the wellbeing of the Principality.

III.II - Duties of The Marshall of the North Mark

III.IIa - Welcoming new Esquires to Caritas and helping them choose the appropriate accommodation, granting citizens permissions.

III.IIb - Management of the tax code of Caritas and the evictions of occupants if necessary.

III.IIc - Management of housing, shops and other community buildings.

III.IId - Welcoming visitors to Caritas, and directing them to any services they may need.

 

SECTION III

Establishing  the Riders of Caritan

I.I - The Riders of Caritan shall be commanded by the Captain of the Mark who oversees the military on behalf of the Prince of Caritas. As the official military branch of the Principality of Caritas it shall compose of the following ranks. Upon completion of the Eorlings training they shall be placed into an Eored which is a group of Riders led by one of the Knights of Caritas.

 

II.I - The Captain of the Mark shall command the Riders of Caritas

II.II - Duties of The Captain of the Riders

II.II - Management of the defense of Caritas and Ensuring the protection and safety of Caritas

II.II - Speaking to any approaching persons outside Caritas’ walls on behalf of the Prince when the gates are closed

II.II - Deploying any Rider to assist and escort the Prince or Marshal in any foreign matter

II.II - Promoting and demoting any member of the Riders (demoting must have a valid reasoning, if the Rider in question feels it was an unfair demotion, they may ask for a reinstatement from the Prince.)

II.II - Ensuring the responsibilities of the Knights are upheld. appointing duties to Knights and Riders of Caritas.

II.II - Arresting and containing any dangerous threat or any citizen breaking the laws of Caritas.

 

II.II - Knights of the Caritas shall compose the upper level of the Military acting as the leaders of the Eoreds.

II.II - Duties of the Knights of the Caritas

II.IIa - Speaking to any approaching persons outside Caritas’ walls on behalf of the Captain when the gates are closed

II.IIb - Arresting and containing any dangerous threat or any citizen breaking the laws of Caritas

II.IIc - Tending to and answering any questions visitors may have on behalf of the marshals and the captain, directing them to one of the marshals available  to handle any housing and service requests.

II.IId - Swearing in any enlisting Eorlings on the Captain’s behalf with the captain’s permission

 

II.IV - The vast majority of the military shall compose of the Riders who will be put into a Eored based on their skill sets.

II.V - Duties of the Riders of Caritas

II.Va - Attending training and military meetings when ordered to do so.

II.Vb - Guarding the gates of Caritas and patrolling the City of Angren. Enforcement of the laws of Caritas and ensuring all abide by them.

II.Vc - Arresting and containing any dangerous threat or any citizen breaking the laws of Caritas. Reporting of any misconduct of a citizen or sightings of an outside threat to the Knights and Captain.

 

III - Newcomers enlisting in the Riders will be called Eorlings until they have completed training and have proven themselves worthy of joining the Riders. They will have basic duties appointed by a Knight or the Captain. 

Promotion to Rider will be decided by the Captain and they will take an oath.
