milkyi 1992 Share Posted June 19, 2023 TO ARCHBISHOP ANTONIUS CARDINAL ARTORUS AND FELLOW PIOUS FOLLOWERS OF THE CHURCH, It has been five years since I had penned a letter to the devoted flock of the Church, expressing my eagerness to be instructed and prepared for the order of the diaconate. The Reverend Mother Lorina replied with a letter initially. By the time my folk and I had journeyed to Savoy, the city had already fallen to ruin under the relentless attacks of the Mori'quessir. Years have elapsed, during which my betrothed and I had acquainted ourselves with the Clergy, extending an invitation to His Holiness, Sixtus V, to our humble abode within the dark of Failor, alongside our friend, Father Arnaud, who has now ascended to the rank of Cardinal. There, we briefly discussed the potential of reconciliation but, more importantly, my aspiration to become a deaconess of the Church. Father Arnaud specifically offered to teach me, but unfortunately, that never came to fruition. While I assumed Adria's delay in accepting these terms caused the lack of discussion, I had no hand in it. With the Duchy finally enacting a decree outlining the terms for all to see, along with the appointment of an Archbishop by His Holiness, I anticipated an improvement in communication. I may have received a letter inviting me to a formal meeting regarding my wish to serve as a deaconess. Alas, no such correspondence ever reached me. There remains a palpable lack of sympathy towards the Canonist flock residing within the Duchy, particularly when they travel beyond the borders of Adria, solely because of their allegiance and the associated stigma. However, let it be known to all who read this message that I and my peers are no different from any other Canonist. I ask that any willing to spare their teachings step forward and aid me in arranging such an opportunity. aldskar 842 Share Posted June 19, 2023 One issue of the public letter finds it's way to Aaunic land, and onto the desk of one Abbess of Saint Jude, as so many other Canonist ongoings do. A tut produces from those very lips once having read the missive over. "I cannot imagine why a stigma would not exist, given the excommunication of so many residing in those heretical lands. If this 'Oksana' should wish to follow in the path of GOD, then I duly hope her eyes may open to see that that very path remains spat upon by those within Adrian walls."
ReveredOwl 5639 Share Posted June 19, 2023 "I'm pretty sure the servants of the excommunicated Jonathan still reside in Adria, in fact using it as a base to attack and rob innocent travelers." remarked Andrik var Ruthern.
bumblefina 2766 Share Posted June 19, 2023 Mother Lorina frowned a bit after being shown the published piece, looking to a companion to make a simple complaint: "Well. Letters go both ways."
