A depiction of the flood,

in traditional Whitespearian style.

“And I am the Lord GOD without peer, and My works are the holy works, and My labor is the virtuous labor, and all the strength of the Virtue shall serve the righteous laborer.” (Virtue 4:9)

THE DENIZENS OF WHITESPIRE must undoubtedly find themselves awash in fear and despair, their hearts torn asunder by the wailing of the creatures as waves descended on their homes and the panic that ensued in its wake. We were faced with a grievous tragedy, one that has etched its horror onto me and the rest of Whitespire’s citizens. I will never forget the noxious stench that clung to the twin pyres of the deceased as we burned them. I will never forget the innocent babes I held, forsaken within barrels and baskets, forsaken by desperate parents in an attempt for their salvation. Yet, amidst this tragedy and the countless casualties, a blessing did emerge.

We bore witness, firsthand, the potential within the hearts of the people in Aaun when joined together as a united force. Upon forging a sacred bond with our fellow comrades, united in pursuit of a noble cause, our spirits have found solace. This encounter has taught us that true reverence does not lie in merely locking eyes with one another, but in fixing our gaze upon a shared horizon. Fellowship is born only when we stand as one, tethered to the same rope, clambering to a common peak. In our hour of need, we draped each other in protection, nourished our souls, and kindled the warmth of camaraderie beneath Merryweather’s embrace. Above all, we stood with one another, as a brother would for his kin. Our evacuation was quick, and those within our reach, we rescued with unwavering diligence.

I beseech the people of Aaun to take heed of the impact wrought by their humble deeds, and to envision such endeavors tenfold, for the betterment of our kingdom.

I invite you all to rid the streets of this incessant flooding together, hand in hand in unity and resolve. We gather inside the city, carve out a passageway in the walls and streets for the water to escape in the moats around the city, then begin rebuilding the damage caused by the flood.

SIGNED,

HER EXCELLENCY, Aleksandra of Vidaus, Princess of Merryweather and the Rhine,

Landgravine of Alstreim, Baroness of Corwinsburg, Lady of Blackwater, Lady Chamberlain of Clementine Court
