I think roleplaying is where one creates a imaginary character and assumes his role and respondes to situations how his character would.

-Biography:****Born in a small town in the wilderness Gerard as a child led a happy life with his father and mother whom were well respected mages in their home town, always helping others,creating potions for warriors or the sick. Gerard idolized his parents always wanted to learn magic and potion creation from them. He rarely left his town so he was naive to the outside world and its dangers but what ever he did know he mastered and memorized it. He would always get in trouble sneaking into his parents cellar trying to read their spell and recipe books. They always told him that when he got older they would teach him but he is far too young. Then one day a group of rouge orc warriors raided his town and burned his home to the ground, He witnessed his parents murder as they tried to defend him and the other villagers to no avail. As he was taken prisoner by the orcs he was blind folded to ensure he couldnt find his way back but all he could hear was the crys of the other villagers as they were executed. He was taken to a camp somewhere in the desert and was thrown in a cage. During his imprisonment he was forced to do hard labor which made him strong, he swore revenge on the orcs and used his enslavement as a way to obtain more strength. During the day he mined in a quarry and at night he managed to observe the orcs during their sword training and started to test the bars of the cage to find the weak spot to later escape. 3 years later at the age of 16 he had gotten strong and he decided that it was time for escape, he took out the weakest bars of his cage and under the veil of the night escaped into the desert. He wandered for 3 more years training with a sword he fashioned out of some sharp stones on some animals. Then he found it, The charred remains of his old village from 6 years ago and found his burnt down house. He went to the cellar which seemed to be unopened. He broke the lock and found that all of his parents work was still there undamaged all of their books on spells and potions along with little gold and his fathers old robe. He decided he would master all of his parents work and continue their study of magic. Now with a goal he continues to study his parents work meeting new people and trying to help any person in peril. Now he currently has moved out of the forest to the great city of oren in search of a new home and a new life with his parents Magic and recipes mastered. ****
