AS THE AUTUMN SEASON in the dual Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska concludes, the familiar blizzard-inflicted bitter chill has begun to encroach. As usual, snow drifts have blanketed the streets, icicles have begun to grow from the rooftops, and the bitter northern winds have arrived to wreck their havoc upon the unfaltering hearths of Haeseni hearts. 

 

However, neither Queen Amaya nor Palace Custodian Liridona Amador intend to allow the piercing temperatures and impending wintry nights to snuff out the scorched souls of the hardy Haeseni. Thus, Her Majesty and the Custodian have decided to open the doors of the firelit Esrova Prikaz, and invite all of Haense to a Harvest Feast in order to be thankful for the prosperity of the year’s harvest, celebrate the dwindling days of Autumn, and to welcome the winter months that have defined Hanseti-Ruska for generations.

 

A colossal undertaking on the part of the palace staff, great swaths of autumnal food platters shall be served, all accompanied by traditional Haeseni dishes to brighten the spirits. The grand palace fireplaces will glimmer and crackle with warmth on offer for the poor and cold, and if the night progresses in such a manner, perhaps the event shall be extended to include a few uplifting traditional Haeseni dances to thaw any sullen bitterness with warm-spirited dance and jolly music.
