Javert 9628 Share Posted May 17, 2024 Spoiler Cold The Battle of La Dorada Beaches, 181 S.A. Nicolas removed his farming gloves, rubbing his sore hands together to relieve the tension that had been built up during his time at work. "Finally," he thought to himself, "I can enjoy a summer's day by the water." Upon packing away his farming equipment, Nicolas stretched his arms out and made the brief trek from his farmhouse to the beaches of La Dorada. When he got there, the first thing he noticed was the smell of the grill being fired up by Prince Rafael. Though Nicolas was excited to see what was being made, he dared not show it. As Nicolas continued through the beach, he saw Princess-Royal Renata and others begin to decorate. Nicolas made his way over to the boardwalk that connected the City to the beach and leaned against the railway, looking around to see if his friends Pedro or Panya would arrive soon. Nicolas' mind wandered some more - maybe one day he could buy his Madre a house on the coast. He wondered if she would like that. The young Farmer was forced to return to reality when he heard the clomping of hooves along the boardwalk. Warriors clad in plate armor, weapons drawn, demanding the submission of the Hyspians via moving to the ground before them. Without a second thought, Nicolas drew his standard-issue Hyspian Sabre and challenged the invaders - he was joined by two more of his comrades, Alejandro and Carlos. Though none of them had armor, they had all silently agreed to hold the invaders back whilst the royalty and other non-combatants evacuated to seek aid. "I'll gut you boy, stand down." said one by the name of Sir Enyalius, dismounting his steed and pointing his longsword at Nicolas. "You couldn't gut a fish." The exchange of blades began quicker than Nicolas had thought it would. Nicolas had fought hundreds of times in sparring sessions with friends or his comrades, but this was his first real challenge, his first real test. It both terrified and thrilled Nicolas. The Sabre and the Longsword clashed against each other again and again, both trying to find an opening in the other's defenses. It almost seemed as if it were a dance. Before long though, brute strength and equipment superiority won over - Sir Enyalius brought his plated knee against the boy's unarmored ribcage, breaking several ribs and knocking Nicolas' wind out of him. It was then that Sir Enyalius made his withdrawal, hopping the railing of the boardwalk and mounting a horse of his comrade. Nicolas took a deep breath to regain his breath, only to cough blood - a rib had punctured his left lung. Nicolas hacked up blood, trying his best to steady himself against the railing of the boardwalk as he tried to reevaluate what was going on. Closer to the shoreline, he saw Alejandro and Carlos facing off against two of the invaders, including Sir Enyalius who had made his way over. Determined not to be relegated to the walls for the rest of the fight, Nicolas dragged himself along the railing of the boardwalk, blood continuing to be ejected from his lung as he held onto his Sabre tightly. "Away from them, pendejos!" Nicolas shouted, trying to get their attention. Sir Enyalius turned to look at Nicolas, an annoyed look upon his face. "You want some more?" Sir Enyalius taunted. "Come on!" Nicolas replied. The two men's blades clashed once more, though at a much slower pace. Nicolas, weakened from his wounds, could not provide as great a threat to the knight any longer. Sir Enyalius disarmed Nicolas of his Sabre in one quick motion, prompting Nicolas to attempt to tackle the armored behemoth to the ground so he may be immobilized. And then he felt it - the sharp, splitting pain entering his stomach and piercing out through his lower back. Nicolas paused, attempting to process what had just happened. The Hyspian looked down, seeing Sir Enyalius' blade buried hilt-deep into his stomach. Nicolas looked up at Sir Enyalius' emotionless helmet, only to be shoved by the Knight. With his blade remaining in Nicolas' stomach, the Knight turned and fled the battle. Nicolas' vision turned blurry, his vision unclear. The next thing Nicolas knew, he laid sideways upon the sands of Hyspia, his vision fading to black. Yet, he did not feel the warm embrace of DIOS' light, like he thought he would. Instead, all he felt was Cold.
tadabug2000 4922 Share Posted May 17, 2024 Renata Alba felt the CPR was endless. She counted out the seconds, pushing against the Muriettas chest, before blowing in air. The Hyspian would check his pulse, each time, weak or gone entirely - and begin again. It was touch and go for awhile, and she called to DIOS aboveall, pleading the boy not leave this world too soon. And DIOS answered. The boy now rested, unconscious within the clinic.
L1veLaughLich 425 Share Posted May 17, 2024 Sir Enyalius wondered if the brave... Brave, stupid boy that he fought back on the sands made it out alive. He did try to keep him alive.. It'd be such a shame to die so young.
