LONG AGO IN THE AULIC COUNCIL OF SIGISMUND II, SAT THE ROYAL CURATOR.
For its entire existence, the Royal Curator had been in charge of maintaining the culture and recording the history of Hanseti-Ruska. In Arcas and New Reza, under the guidance of Benedict Cardinal Jorenus, then Bishop, and later Princess Alexandria Karina, the office truly flourished with the establishment of a museum and maintenance of the Royal Archives. After the death of Sir Viktor Kortrevich, VKML, Royal Curator and co-founder of Baruch & Kortrevich publishing, the seat remained vacant and eventually vanished altogether.

 

No longer. The role that both culture and history plays in our rapidly progressing society is not something the Kingdom can afford to leave unmanaged. Despite the best efforts of Royal Archivists since the abolishment of the Curators Office, mainly Lord Henrik Amador, the records proved to be too much to handle for one single person to maintain.

 

Therefore, it is the wish of the Crown, that the Royal Curator be reinstated as an official position under the Aulic Government where they shall sit on the Aulic Council, serve as the primary manager of the royal archives, chief educator and cultural advisor of the realm.

ARTICLE I: ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CURATOR

The Royal Curator shall serve on the Aulic Council and wield the Lead Bulava as the Manager of the Royal Archives, Chief Educator, and Cultural Advisor of the realm. The Royal Curator shall be referred to as ‘His Excellency’ or ‘Her Excellency’.

 

ARTICLE II: RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CURATOR

The duties and obligations of the Royal Curator shall include:

I. Maintaining the Royal Archives.

II. Publishing doctrine in regards to education, cultural preservation and the promotion of our heritage.

III. Hiring staff to manage their duties.

IV. Advising the Crown and Aulic Council as primary cultural advisor.

 

ARTICLE III: LEGISLATION

The following shall be enshrined into Ve Haurul Caezk of 525 E.S. under Jura I Kongzem (Common: The Law of The Kingdom):

III.II. Upon the Aulic Council shall sit:
viii. Ve Haucdragus (“The Royal Curator”), who shall wield the Lead Bulava and shall preserve and promote our heritage.
