[!] A missive is distributed through the port-duchy of Dunkeld. The formatting and seal is familiar but the handwriting is different from what most are used to.

The Future of Dunkeld and Ellie Pinemaw’s Disappearance.

Penned, Year 790 of the Shire Reckoning

As many residents of Dunkeld may have already noticed, the Port-Sovereign of the duchy of Dunkeld, Ellie Pinemaw, is missing. It has been over a year and I do not believe the wait for her return can be justified much longer. With a heavy heart, I, Wisteria Adeline Pinemaw, take up the role my mother left behind. 

With this change in leadership, I will need cooperation from the residents of the duchy in order to ensure things run smoothly. The first part of this cooperation is the completion of a census. Over the next year I will need every resident over the age of 18 to fill out a census form. It will ask some basic questions which should help me know who lives in the duchy and where and what is needed to support them. This census is required of all residents in Dunkeld and failure to fill it out may result in your home being considered abandoned and thus evicted.

Little OOC note: I am trying to gauge how much activity we actually have in Dunkeld so I can help promote roleplay for current residents and weed out inactive residences to free up good land for other people or potential improvements for current residents. The link to the google form can be found by going to Dunkeld’s bank. It needs to be filled out at some point over the next week. If you can't get on in that time to go get the link, tell me and I will send it to you, but I prefer for people to go in character. I really want to start encouraging more active roleplay in Dunkeld.

The next part of this cooperation is for any residents of the duchy to approach me about renewing any deals they had with my haelun. I am not aware of all her dealings and if any residents had deals with her that they wish to maintain, I will need to be informed as soon as possible. I will not honor my haelun’s deals if they are not made aware to me and agreed upon once more. Either approach me in person or send a letter for us to set a time to meet.

The most important cooperation I require is any resident with information on the whereabouts of my haelun must come forward. Her safe return is paramount but should her life no longer be with her, I wish to know soon so I may give her a proper send off.

Finally, since misfortune rarely waits for convenient timing, I have decided to declare my malii’malonn, Armin Thriceblood, my heir until either my mother returns, a more proper heir is secured, or another in my family steps forward to claim the responsibility. While he is not blood, I trust he will take good care of the duchy should the worst comes to pass.

As we settle into this change, I hope the residents of our beautiful duchy will feel comfortable enough to bring their concerns and needs to me. We will hope for the return of Ellie Pinemaw, but we continue forward to ensure her beloved home thrives in her absence.
