  2. [!] A letter would arrive by carrier pigeon. Green ink was used for the fine handwriting. "150 minae for the Bloodstone Idol." IGN: Ms_Amesti 2nd Slot: Daelee Posted: April 5th at 1736 EST
  3. What would life have been like if Diolinda had finished her trials? Certainly better. As the woman laid her son to rest, she didn't know of the other loss that was had. Maybe if she had been better, she would be grieving Lenore with her son right now. Instead, she was too wrapped up in his loss to even know of the other.
  4. Another new name. Another new face... Driala didn't even know who, among her neighbors, could be her ex, though she'd heard rumors of him being around. Now he was dead, yet she still didn't know. Would she ever? It was unlikely. Who would tell her? Certainly not her family or friends. For all his faults and the trouble he meant, they would know how the news would sting. It was a nasty little habit of hers to cling to the love she once felt for people. Even as she came to be hurt by them, or cautious of them, or even upset at them, a weak semblance of love often persisted, so that should the news ever reach her, it would be likely she would grieve. Even as a weight might be lifted, one less concern done away with, she would be saddened over the lessening pressure upon her shoulders.
  5. For the fun of it, I'll list every persona I've had in the order they came, excepting characters that didn't last longer than a month. Marol: She was my first persona. She kinda started as a self-insert because I had no clue what I was doing but slowly became very different from me given I gave her one trait I can't relate to at all. She was a pacifist. She got along with everyone so I think her and I would too, especially given her jump off point was just me. Eletha: Eletha was my first attempt on any platform of a bad person. She wasn't outright evil, just kind of a jerk and it led to her demise. I think she would view me with indifference but I would really dislike her. We'd probably meet once then never talk again. Alvena: She was almost Marol's opposite. The main thing they had in common was they were both well meaning but Alvena was violent and kinda dumb. I think we'd get along pretty well though. I could see her being my hiking buddy or us wrestling together. I don't think we'd have a close friendship though. It would be on of those surface level friendships. We're here to keep eachother company while we do stuff we like and nothing more. Wisteria: Wisteria would be my study buddy. She was really emotionally stunted, and a little uninterested in being close to people, so like Alvena, I think our friendship would be surface level, but I know she'd be a killer study buddy for my college classes. Folwin: Hoh boy! He is my baby. I love him so much and I think if I met him in real life, that would stay the same. I don't care that he is a nearly 100 year old elf, man is getting cared for like he's my kid and he'd probably just be happy to have another person who isn't trying to kill or manipulate him. Diolinda: Okay, Diolinda is hard. She made a lot of bad mistakes, but her heart was there... I think surface level, if I never found out about them, we'd get along, but in truth, if I knew what she had done, as much as I love her OOCly, I think I'd struggle to accept what she has done when faced with it in real life. She isn't exactly repentant either. She kinda feels bad, but she still puts keeping what shreds of family she has left first over doing what is right and I know that would upset me. Armand: We wouldn't feel either way about eachother. He is not a bad dude, but I think I'd find him stuffy and he'd find me too laid back. He is based off my fiancé irl a little bit, but he's a noble and everything that goes with that. I think I'd find him a littler endearing the same way you might seeing a nice older gentleman with his family and it warms your heart, but that's it. Isabela: She'd hate me. Only one I think might outright kill me. Our ideologies are near opposite. Aurene "Lyu": She's a kid and such a cute one. I'd probably be her baby sitter and we'd have a blast playing board games.
  6. Aurene grasped at the missive and stared over it. Her brows furrowed then she scampered off to find her Vel'luah teacher to help her understand, hopeful it was something exciting!
  7. Isabela sat on Alduun's docks, staring out at Viru. One arm curled around her baby, Lucelle, while her free hand tapped on the dock. The hand that betrayed her kin. This was the only way to keep back the tremors. She wondered how long it would be till they found him. She wondered how long till she saw his head on a pike. What she didn't know was that he had already gone, not to be found. She had received no letter. Why would she? She was no longer kin in his eyes. She would have been sad to know her father had left behind no words for her. Even though her actions had torn him apart, deep, deep down, she still loved her dad, still revered him. Her hand clenched. A spasm wracked her arm, and she gave a pained hiss. Lucelle cried out at such sudden movements and sounds. Her eyes trailed down to the babe, and her face softened a moment. When she looked up again to Viru, she blew out a huff. "I'll do better." She muttered before rising with her child and walking off. Perhaps she didn't know it fully, but this was her goodbye to him.
  8. One of the mentioned children's eyes widened as she recognized the familiar pink ink of her new friend! She pulled down the missive and pranced off with it to show the other child as she chirped "Clem'nt! Clem'nt! Clem'nt!"
  9. Isabela stared at the event announcement. She took a deep breath then folded it up as she made her way to the aviary. "With any luck... all will be settled and we can attend." She murmured as she tied the announcement to a bird's leg and sent it off to Lucien.
  10. Armand looked over the event planned by his lovely wife. A smile stretched over his face. He went to snag a bottle of wine out of the cellar, then find Aurelie so they could practice together ahead of time!
  11. Diolinda shot up from the couch. Her terrified cries filled the small cabin, waking her children on the loft above. No words of comfort would quiet her and soon her feet had carried her out the door. The woman crumpled to the dirt as desperate prayers were cast to deaf skies. Her fake gods could provide her no comfort and no salvation from the sins that had once marred her and the evil yet to come. She was set to maddened mumbling, the words she had heard and words of her own devising, until finally one of her children dragged her back into the cabin.
  12. Armand's hands left the piano to take the page. In his place, Aurélie's little fingers took to the keys, creating a discordant sound. He beamed, ear to ear. "The loveliest, mon amour." He then set it down and reached for her hand. "But do not stress yourself too much... You are doing great already." He assured at hearing those worried murmurs.
  13. Loss after loss bore down on the Devereux household. Armand could not help but wonder who was next as he carried the lifeless shell of his brother down to the catacombs. He descended those dark, cold stairs till he reached a place to set it. While Alexandre's corpse remained unprepared for burial, it was better than sitting in the front hall of the keep, where any of his sisters could see. Armand laid the body down and carefully tucked the bloodied sheet about it. He stood there for a while, staring in shock. He could not wrap his head around it. Nothing lined up to him. Every possible twist of the story he heard was terrible. He didn't wish to believe any of it. "Repose en paix, mon frère." He muttered then before he finally departed.
  14. "Lilac" had missed the fun, but they would make their own. In the wee hours, they crept along the streets. Soft humming of the wonderful little tune accompanied their work. The missive began to find its way into mailboxes across the empire and its allied lands.
  15. Diolinda had nothing to do these days but read. Every missive and letter she could get her hands on, regardless of their relevance to her, was rather quickly consumed. The notice from Silasia was certainly eye-catching as she had just been reminded of the place by an old friend... Long did the amnesiac linger on the names in that notice. Slowly, she placed it, and a feeling of conflict fell over her. There had certainly been a time she looked up to Arturas, but then she recalled her nephew, a boy practically like her son, and how betrayed he'd felt by the man. All she knew for certain was that she should pay a visit to Silasia. After all, two reminders of the place in one day could be no coincidence!
