[Halloween Player Event] A Tattered Journal

The bright, sunny day had set into a dark and ominous night. 

 

The aurum spear of Ser Marius Vourkehardt flashed in the darkness of the old, abandoned home. The Ghost screeched in pain, the attack unexpected, as the spear pierced its heart, the ectoplasm sizzling beneath its touch. Ember Mah'nel sighed and broke connection with the spirit Khor as the ghost demanifested, leaving a heap of ectoplasm. 

The mysterious book in Ilandril Ithradryl's hands, which had struck him with a vision of a teahouse just previously, flipped wildly to seemingly random pages eventually slamming closed as the ghost fully vanished.

...another dark day in Celia'nor had been saved. 

 

OOC: Hi LOTC! This is a mini-player event that's been going on in Celia'nor for a little while, but I thought now that it's approaching Halloween and I think it'd be really cool to reach this storyline's climax around this spooky month's end, hence this post! Everyone is welcome to participate - there will be ghostbusting RP, spooky scary investigations, and the slow, mysterious uncovering of Nebta's untold past!

 

But what use was demanifesting a ghost that would simply return again, and again, and again? It was not as if it could be killed. There had to be a reason he kept coming back... and so, the investigation began, with the journal. (in possession of Ilandril Ithradryl (Cluttch_) at the beginning of this event.)

 

On the first couple of pages, or what would have been the first chapter of sorts, a few names and a few phrases could be made out, but no concrete story could be pieced together from the tattered, ruined journal. One name in particular stood out.

Anarion.

What did it mean?

And, at the very very end, where the handwriting abruptly changed (was that... blood that the writing was in...?), two more short phrases could be made out...

Masked Orc...

and Miss Mika.

 

It was clear that the poltergeist would not cease its vain assault on the city of Celia'nor until something happened. Perhaps... this journal was the key.
