The Fruits of Aevos

To the Holy Bishop of the Diocese of Andrikev,

"BEHOLDETH! It is declared: to confess and seek not atonement is as setting fire to the fields, calling it wisdom, and dancing in the smoke!” — Madre Flower, Her Holy Grassness

Only in the hallowed company of our MADRE (BLESSED AND REVERED BE HER NAME!) did we uncover a truth most dreadful: our recent deeds had been those of Iblees, that SORCERER OF DECEPTION, LORD OF TEMPTATION! We were ENSNARED! PUPPETEERED! CONTROLLED in his web of FALSEHOOD! IN DISBELIEF, we the Bamboo Brothers of St Amyas ventured on a SOUL RENDERING pilgrimage through Aevos, and within discovered the truth of God’s direction.

For, mark it well, we had dreamed of holy fruits—glistening visions, sweet and golden, whispered into our ears by false fathers who called themselves holy men. They told us we were chosen, priests already, destined! Yet their words, though gilded, were poison, planted by that MASTER OF DECEIT, Iblees, who cast his shadow as brightly as he could, that we might mistake it for light.

Thus begins our Acolyte’s Thesis—a humble treatise on repentance and the truths gleaned upon the rough-hewn roads of Aevos. We pray that you, a holy priest, wise and fatherly, may cast his gaze upon these words, take pity upon our misled souls, and draw us beneath your wing, such that we may serve GOD’s Word in honor and truth.

Know this: repentance is not reaped with ease. It must be wrought through wearying toil, each step of our journey a scourge upon the soul, every blister a root of sin plucked forth. As the Scroll of Virtue doth proclaim, “Though the spring flower withers and the fruit of the tree falls to the ground, My Word lasts into the eve of the world.” We, the Bamboo Brothers, did learn that repentance must be endured like the tempest, the soul lashed and made low, its sins cast forth as chaff.

In times past, blind men led by shadows, we were deceived by Iblees, LORD OF LIES, his twisted fruits shining with false light. These visions filled our minds—golden and sweet—and tricked us into seeing ourselves as holy men. False fathers whispered to us, robed in deceit yet hollow of faith, crowning us “priests” without cause. Thus we took to the fruit, not of GOD but of Iblees, and our hearts, parched yet longing, drank deeply of his mirage.

Yet through the hardships of our pilgrimage, this veil of deceit was torn, GOD’s light striking our hearts as fire upon frost. What once seemed bright lay bare, and those fruits of Iblees withered to naught but ash. Thus did we come to know the true fruits of GOD: humility, patience, and a soul quieted before His will.

True fruit doth is neither gilded like corn, nor is it sweet as sugar; it rises from the soil of repentance, from labor and sorrow. It is written, “Through toil and devotion, you shall yield a harvest in My name.” What Harvest than the steady gifts of a cleansed soul: humble, steadfast, bound to virtue alone?

Thus, let this record be both confession and covenant—to seek and bear GOD’s true fruits, lowly as the corn stalk, rooted deep as the good ground, bound forever in His eternal light.

Sincerely,

The Bamboo Brothers of St. Amyas

Thy hath committed sin in abundance, thou men of green. Though thy contrition may be true, mere words cannot rectify unholy acts. Submit thyselves to trial in the ecclesiastical court of the province of La Doreda, to seek penance. Grace is not granted, but earned; thou has taken the first step upon the stairs of Godan's mercy. I pray the courts of Hyspia treat thee all with the justice in kind.

IN NOMINE DEI
