PREAMBLE
 

Over the past years, the River Council and Crown have set themselves upon one particular task- Solving Vallagne’s infrastructure, which has become outdated and worn in the decades since its original construction. In time a concrete plan for a new, brighter, Vallagne was conceived, one which embodied the spirit of the Petran people as they are today, and not as they were nearly a century ago. With preparations for the rebuilding coming to their conclusion, it is time to set aside pens in favour of hammers, blueprints in favour of bricks, and ideas in favour of labour. The Crown of the Commonwealth has begun gathering funds for the new capital’s construction, making significant progress thanks to the nation’s dedicated merchants and peers. However, more work remains if we are to successfully create our new home, and it is through all of our efforts that the Petra will gain a city worthy of her people.

 

It is to this end that the River Courts are proud to organise a formal fundraiser gala, for the purpose of collecting donations, and proudly displaying the bright future of the Commonwealth which is to come. Citizens, peers, and allies are invited to partake in wine and music through the length of the night, while enjoying raffles and trivia.

ITINERARY 

 

➼ THE RESERVATION RAFFLE: Guests arriving to the gala will be offered the chance to purchase raffle tickets, which shall be pooled into a pot throughout the night. The more tickets one purchases, the higher their chance will be of winning the grand prize- A house or shop within the new capital, reserved free of charge, with three years of tax exemption once the city is fully built.

 

➼ THE TRIVIA SHOWDOWN: During the evening attendees will be invited to partake in a round of Petran trivia, where the players’ knowledge of history, culture, and geography shall be tested. The questions will range from classroom basics to head-scratchers, and even the most experienced are sure to learn something new.

 

➼ THE TAVERN BALLOT: With the purchase of a Tavern Ticket, attendees will be able to submit written suggestions for the name of Vallagne’s new pub and inn. Though there are no limits on what can be suggested, names themed around the river, Petran history, and Petran culture are encouraged. At the conclusion of the evening, all suggestions deemed within reason shall be put up to a vote, where the citizens of the Commonwealth may decide their favourite.
