 Are you a fighter, looking to make some mina? Or, perhaps, are you an avid enjoyer of watching and betting on fights? If this sounds like you, read on.

 

 

Welcome to The Thunder Dome - an underground fighting arena built in the caves beneath Celia’nor, which will be having its grand opening tournament soon!

The tourney shall take place in 1v1 rounds, the winner of each round proceeding onto the next. 

The details of the system are listed below.

 The final winner will receive 200 minas, along with all the revenue made from betting. 

Magics are permitted. Every player will be limited to two weapons, a shield counting as one. Armor is permitted.

1. Free entry for spectators to watch the event.
2. Minimal betting fee of 15 mina with a maximum bet of 100 mina.
3. House revenue is ensured through a 5% cut of the total betting pool.
4. Fighter's compensation: Fighters earn 30% of the betting pool as a reward for winning.
5. Sponsorship: Sponsors pay a 20 mina fee and receive 10% of the fighter’s winnings if their fighter wins.
6. Bettors' winnings depend on how many people bet on each fighter. The winner receives 10% of the total pool.

 

Spectator Entry:

• Free entry for all spectators (no entry fee).

Betting System:

• Betting fee: Minimum 15 mina per bet. The maximum bet is 100 mina (unless special arrangements are made for higher bets, such as for royalty or other notable figures).
• Payout: A percentage of the total betting pool based on the number of people betting on each fighter.
• Winner’s share: The winner gets 10% of the total betting pool, and the amount is distributed based on the amount bet on the winning fighter.
• Losers: All losing bets lose their full wagered amount.

Sponsorship Fee:

• Sponsor fee: A flat 20 mina fee must be paid by a person sponsoring a fighter.
• Sponsorship payout: If the sponsored fighter wins, the sponsor will receive a percentage of the prize pool (e.g., 10% or another agreed-upon percentage of the fighter’s winnings).

 

Competitor's Share:

• Fighters do not pay a fee to compete. Instead, they receive a percentage of the prize pool.
• Competitor’s reward: Fighters earn 30% of the total betting pool, which is based on performance. This percentage can vary based on the arrangement but is fixed to ensure fair compensation.

House Revenue (5%):

• House revenue comes from a 5% cut of the total betting pool.
• This ensures profitability for the organizers of the event.

 

Example Calculation for One Fight:

1. Total Betting Pool:
   • Total betting amount: Spectators bet a total of 500 mina on a single fight.
2. Winner Calculation:
   • Fighter A: 10 people bet a total of 450 mina on Fighter A.
   • Fighter B: 3 people bet a total of 50 mina on Fighter B.
   • Total betting pool: 500 mina.
3. House Cut (5%):
   • House cut: 5% of the total betting pool = 25 mina.
4. Winner’s Payout (10%):
   • Since Fighter A wins, the 10% payout (of 500 mina) = 50 mina.
   • The 450 mina bet on Fighter A gets distributed with a 10% return, so each of the 10 people who bet on Fighter A gets a 5 mina return in addition to their initial bet.
5. Sponsor Payout (10% of Fighter’s Winnings):
   • If Fighter A has a sponsor, the sponsor receives 10% of Fighter A's total prize, so the sponsor gets 15 mina (10% of 150 mina).
6. Competitor’s Reward (30% of Betting Pool):
   • Fighter A receives 30% of the total betting pool (500 mina) = 150 mina.
7. Losers’ Wager:
   • All bettors who bet on Fighter B lose their 50 mina.

The organizers receive a 5% cut of the total betting pool for each fight. This ensures a steady revenue stream for the event organizers.
