Frostdrop1 1843 Share Posted January 26, 2025 The Founder The ascension of the House of Weiss can be truly attributed to the work and attitude of one man: the first baron of Zvaervauld, the first viscount of Novkursain, the honourable Felix Weiss of Staalgrav. There are few men alive who can undertake such immense strides as he, and yet those were strides he paced with unmatched ease. Truly, he lays the greatest among us and it is only fitting that we remember those who came before, our ancestors, who are not only heroes of honour but fathers, mothers, sons and daughters. Let it be that he watches us now from the Seven Skies, and blesses us who walk this day with valour. Va ve Maan; Krusae zwy Kongzem A tethered man of humble pride, Takes to a pledge of loyalty, To ‘The Lion’ King Karl the Third, A man of renowned gallantry. Common blood cannot now define, A man so true in spoken oath, Those who later came to know him: A myth to which we all do troth. Up he arose through soldiered ranks, Like a bodkin within the wind, First a footman of little fame, Not was he to be left pinned. To his belt hung heavy duty, Engraved in a hardened ferrum, Schneelöwe carried his own word, Of royal hussar, not to carom. Only greater did his name spread, On his furthered famíly name, Yet alone he raised them to grow, Valiant warriors, the same. Inferi and Mori battled, They fell to his hammer alike, ‘Till to marshal he flew at pace, And then none could survive his strike. Common to baron to viscount, Consuming became his shadow, In that which his ancestors live, Yet to him all must we bestow Yet no real man lives immortal, Nor invincible to damage, Last did he battle in the Fenn, Felled by his own righteous courage. Or so does the chronicle go: There, clad as Brotherhood soldier, Side-by-side with sons and levy, Pushing fourth against the Mori, Vaulted afront a blackened bolt, To protect a man bound to serve, Unto the Weiss his life was pledged, But still did the once-marshal act, And through his heart the arrow struck, To The Creator did he stow.
