How the Cold North Does Howl

Player event

“The Veil is torn. The dead no longer slumber. The snow no longer whispers. The frost does not bite, it devours.”

The northern fringes of Celia’nor have become cursed. Where once the snow fell in gentle silence, now it carries screams on the wind. The spirits of the dead no longer pass on. They linger, twisting, writhing, and hungry for the warmth of the living.

Reports would reach the capital of Leyu'sil speaking of undead horrors prowling the frozen woodlands, of gaping graves unearthed by unnatural hands. Hunters return to their villages missing pieces of themselves, eyes clouded, minds broken. Frostbitten corpses walk where they should not. Some say they whisper the names of those they loved in life before their bodies turn to slaughter.

Deep within the ice-choked ruins of the north, something stirs, a force that bends death to its will. Cloaked in shadows and frost, conduct unholy rites, binding souls to the cold itself. Whatever they have unearthed, it has shattered the balance between life and death.

The noble warriors of Celia’nor would be called to arms by their leaders. What awaits in the storm is no mere battle, it is a struggle against the abyss itself.

Will you fight to break this curse, or will you, too, be claimed by the frost?

As one old ruthern ghost would warn the diraar, “Prepare yourselves, warriors of Celia’nor. For the north howls, and it howls for blood.”

The woman glanced slightly as she sighed.. the north.. a bunch of old morons.. there's nothing there but the cold and creatures of old.. a faint sigh as she adjusted the red cloak

"Atleast be wise and bring the dragon mages or the void that controls the flames.."

She scuffed as a cracked halo of black Mana appeared above her head before the master mage disappeared though a rift.

"May the winds be forgiving and may you realize the north will come.. the dead will raise.. you can but only delay the never ending cold.. fouls.. but I must admire the courage.."
