THE SILVER PACT

Agreed on the

13th of The Sun’s Smile, 237 S.A.

The Kingdom of Numendil and the Silver State of Haelun’or hereby acknowledge that this treaty serves to clarify the nature of the Protectorate. The terms mutually agreed upon by both signatories are as follows:

[ I ]:  The Silver State of Haelun’or is regarded as a self-governing Protectorate of the Kingdom of Numendil.

[ II ]:  The Silver State of Haelun’or retains autonomy, with co-operation on relevant foreign policy pertaining to the Kingdom of Numendil.

[ III ]:  The cultural and religious practices of either state shall not be restricted or threatened within this agreement. Those who sign acknowledge the importance of historical customs and heritage, promising to act in their preservation when considered under threat by external sources through mutual defence.

[ IV ]:  The Silver State of Haelun’or will take appropriate measures to ensure responsible use of the Voidal Arts and allow a friendly exchange of their maintained mage registry with the Choir’s for record-keeping. Haelunorian citizens are reminded to observe the Numendil law on mages when within the walls of Numenost, which requires one to be fully registered through Cardinal Nerium to practice magic openly.

[ V ]:  The Silver State of Haelun’or and the Kingdom of Numendil will coordinate in the oversight of uninhabited lands, conducting patrols in woodlands, jungles, and roads to weed out any potential nefarious threats of darkspawn and the like. 

[ VI ]:  The Silver State of Haelun’or gifts one large crate of tomes from their stock within the Eternal Library to the Kingdom of Numendil as a show of dedication to continued friendly relations between the realms, as well as an intention to broker additional trade agreements in the future.

[ VII ]:  The signatories agree that fugitives shall be extradited to the realm in which they have offended. Additionally, both realms will coordinate against bandits and other mutual threats to put them on trial for their offences.

[ VIII ]:  The signatories agree to grant diplomatic immunity and protection for visiting envoys. 

[ IX ]:  The dissolution of this pact shall occur when the Silver State of Haelun’or has returned to prosperous stability by mutual agreement of the signatories.
