The past decades have been ones filled with great pain and regret, our House and the Kingdom torn asunder. A new age for our people is born, as it was in when John the First fled across the desert with his people nigh two centuries ago, with Don Rev Vuiller and our other ancestors beside him. But a new age requires new leadership, not an old man wallowing in his regrets and losses, and his duties failed.

 

Thus, from henceforth, I, Sir Marcel Elio Harald Vuiller, formally abdicate the title of Duke of Aquilae to my grandson and heir, Godrick Vuiller, Baron of San Haraldo. May he lead our family back to its glory, and help repair what has been lost and what has been severed, and keep our oaths and good name, as we have in centuries past and shall for centuries to come.
