Played minecraft for a while now, looking to have a really great time on the server, and being very highly ranked in my race.

-How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Roughly 2 hours an evening providing I do not have too much work.

Since beta 1.8, so I guess a year at least now.

-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?:

I have never done it before, although I understand it and it seems like good fun. I read the guides to it on the forums, and the wiki too. I know to always talk in character, not to meta game or power game, all actions must be role played, and I'll make sure I listen to others talking to get a feel of speaking in character, which I'm sure I'll pick up quickly enough.

To role play is to always stay in character, to act as your character would and not as you would, to only act on knowledge your character would have, and to interact with other people as your character would,in a way that fits in with the role play.

-What do you expect this server will be like?:

Really great, with a great community (know some already) backed up by a great set of staff and coders.

No hacking. I also approve of the perma bans I've heard about, one of the main reasons I want to play. Sick of cheaters.

None. A server without laws can never work, and these all seem to follow common sense.

-Biography:

Son of a great elven leader who was banished into the forgotten forest for an unmentionable act, though misunderstood. I was brought up outside of Aegis, and was only told about the banishment, and who I really am at my coming of age.

During my childhood, I lived practically alone with my father deep in these woods, only venturing out during periods of drought, and our crops failed. We were totally self sufficient, and my father trained me in survival since I reached just age 12, mining for coal to feed our fires, iron for tools, and occasionally even diamonds for jewellery to trade with the occasional trader. Perhaps the worst part of surviving was gathering food. The forest was empty of live accept for the wolves that came out at night. Fortunately, this lead me to develop very good archery skills, shooting down from our house in the trees to impale a wolf that may feed us for months at a time.

I vowed to avenge my father by righting the corrupt system that he had been betrayed by. And so, I returned on the back of a trading caravan at age 211 to reclaim my rightful position in the Elven counsel. It was a long journey, without any luxuries, even less though than my meager existence of childhood.

I received my nickname from some very drole caravaners on this long journey, due to being in fact rather short for an elf. The journey was long and hard, but the experience of it was invaluable. Protecting ourselves from ambushes along the way gave me great skill with the bow, and negotiating on behalf of the caravan at cities along the way has given my great skill with words, manipulation, and influencing other people through bartering for cheaper goods, pleading for safe passage, or inquiring about the state of Aegis when encountering people leaving it on the way back.

Now though, I have finally reached Aegis, and am on the final part of my journey back to Laurelin, where I hope to rejoin the Elven community, and help to keep it at the top of the Kingdom of Aegis.

Swarthy, muscular, dark.

Very serious, peaceful until provoked but then can turn be mercilessly violent.

Reach the elven counsel.

-Can your character read or write?:

Yes. He has studied scrolls since age 4, and frequently sends letters by bird to his many lord friends.

-Can your character mine?:

During survival training at age 12, I am proficient in mining, whether by cave exploration or by methodical strip mining. I also improved on this during my journey, as at times we were in need of supplies too far out from civilization.

-Are you a capable builder?

Years I have spent admiring other peoples architecture, yet have little skill of my own, due to my fathers banishment and lack of my own resources. This is one thing I would like to improve on through working with other members of the Elven community however.

-Can you wield a sword?:

Yes. Many were slayed on my journey, bandit and outlaw attacks were frequent, and watch was kept every night also. This has lead me to be extremely alert in combat, and have a very high skill with the bow, from which the arrows that were fired were often plucked from the enemies necks.

-Enjoy Farming?:

Not so much. Prefer to trade resources, services, or to gather and hunt for food.

I have to admit, you seem to be someone that will quickly recoil to this first Denial with something greatly needing Approval of, the Denial is based off of technicalities mostly.

#1: Elven Age can be in the hundreds, if I am not mistaken maturity is 200 years of age. Thus the 17 would be as if your life that you described in your Bio is a fraud, so adjust that please.

#2: Elves are of course more suited for the Forests which you do give hints of, yet your name is 'The Mountain', I wish for you to study and tweak your Biography and please give a name, 'The Mountain' or something of such a noun can be a 'nickname', but you need an actual birth name from the looks of which you are wishing to play your character and perhaps reseach Elven names and how to name such a race.

#3: I Like that you arent giving your character the ability to do everything in the world, yet you did not specify survival training at the age of twelve that would allow you to mine. Work on the Biography in turn and make your 'capabilities' more realistic to the situation you wish your character to have been through.

#4: Albeit this may be your first experience roleplaying, we still need a well-thought out definition in your own words.
