The Child on The Path

It was a cool calm evening on the 10th of the Amber Cold. Celia was riding on her horse down the path to Junmura, holding the reigns in her left hand. She would look up to the stars and smile. "Leyu..." she'd mutter, looking up at the stars.

A cry of a baby would then fill the calmness on the path- she would look to the side, and her brows would furrow. "Oem'ii...?" she would call, now hopping off her horse... glancing around. She would then spot the little elf

in a basket among a bunch of mushrooms, surrounding the child. The baby would have platinum hair, and one blue, and one green eye, with pointy ears. 

 

She would crouch down and look over the child. "Oem'ii... why are you here? Why..." The baby would continue to cry- so then she would pass him a raccoon plushie she had. The child would then stop crying, and would reach out for the racoon plushie, taking it, and begin to chew on his ears. she would then chuckle, but then her eyes would then would dart to some bloodstains by the basket, the child was unharmed but, the parents... she was unsure of. 

 

She would then pick up the child, and tie them up to themselves in a wrap... with a bit of difficulty, but eventually she got him secured. She would follow the bloodstains down the path- and now finally... encountering the body of the mother.. she was attacked. She covered the eyes of the child.. but the baby would start to cry, already seeing the fate of their mother. "Llun...im so sorry oem'ii... im so so sorry..." she would say. She would then look down at the mother.. a tear falling down from her cheek. "I...I will be back." she muttered.. now beginning to turn her horse around and walk away from the body.. carrying the child with her home. "...I am so sorry." 

She hoped, the child wouldn't remember this moment.
