A LETTER by Her Ladyship,

Cesia Grisblood-Maravilla

To the Citizens of the City of Anatis

As we of the City of Anatis, and the Barony of Perduran, remain in mourning of the passing of my late-husband and Duke, Aedric Grisblood, we must remember our mission and the reason we are here in the first place; the mission of the City of Perduran, now, Anatis is to find a place to call our home away from the terror and ridicule that was inflicted upon the people of Balian by the then-Pontifical State & Kingdom of Burgundy who now, as the Empire of Man, wishes to bring all of Humanity and the rest of Descendantkind into shackles and force us to give up on our freedom to practice what religious rite we please, and conform to the “True Faith” that erases centuries and generations of Canonist texts and calls the Exalted Sigismund a charlatan, and a liar.

While anger, sorrow, and despair dwell within all of our hearts and souls, we cannot forget why we built a new life for ourselves away from any Imperial claim… we wanted freedom, the freedom of religion, freedom of choice, freedom of movement, and the freedom to spread our unfettered wings and soar into a bright and promising future.

To the Citizens of the Belethian Federation

To my fellow countrymen of Beleth, I am aware of your thoughts and feelings when you heard what was said amongst the meeting that had taken place within what was formerly my palace and upon my former dais by those who called for the heads of the Lord-Paramount and the Crown Prince. I wish to inform you all that I am amongst those who are in support of the Throne of Southspire and the choice words spoken upon my former dais by dissentors to the Crown do not reflect ALL who reside within the City of Anatis or the Barony of Perduran.

I wish to now remind all who reside within the realms of the Belethian Federation of what Beleth could be. As a shining beacon of Humanity and Descendentkind in the south of Azuras, we have been graced with many miracles as we slowly advance and revive many institutions that have fallen to disarray or abandonment within the Empire:

Our Mage’s Guild surges more and more by the day with brilliant minds in the many schools of the Arcane. Those of differing religious beliefs are able to live in harmony and have peaceful debate on philosophy and the matters that are more than just the Material World. The fields of Alchemy are becoming more widely available for those interested to learn more about our world. Ports will soon be established to export and import goods from the many corners of the continent. Concert Halls will soon be filled with the cheering of encores as musicians and Bards paint the stages with their enchanting performances. And last, and certainly not least, Celebrations will be held across the realm whenever, wherever, and whatever the reason may be for!

Let us come unite once more and remember what all is at stake and what awaits our realm in the distant horizons!

Ave Belethia!

Glory to the Rose and Star!

Ave Perduran!

Glory to the Hounds!

A LETTER by His Serene Highness,

Simon Peter

To all Humans who thirst for Freedom,

Not within the span of my living memory, have I seen a flourishing network of states which can call themselves the makers of their own destiny. Too long have we, descendants of Horen, suffered our lands, our armies, and our children to be at the mercy of a force which is so hateful of sovereign prerogative... to the detriment of sovereign dignities. Our ancestors did not strive to preserve the honors of their people under any notion that those same people would submit to the rulership of those to whom they did not freely give fealty. These ancestors, in fact, acted in the fullness of their power to prevent this very outcome. Remember yourselves, sons of mankind.

To all free Descendents of Mali, Horen, Krug, & Urguan

Let this brief lapse in civility serve as an example. Though our grand and singular enemy announces himself at every opportunity, and gives no ambiguity to his intent, there is no guarantee that those who ought to fight against it - side by side - will do so for the same reasons. In some cases, a few will find themselves not fighting at all. All free descendants must now agree that this is in error. For what hope for self-determination can we have, if the final armies of liberty slumber too deeply, or fight only when each contingent finds pleasure in it?

The answer, I say, is none. No hope, and none of God’s favor can be spared to those who scorn to join themselves to a brotherly cause, a Unified Cause. This quality is of the utmost importance for stability in battle, and in administration. We must remember why - and WHO - we fight, and look with contempt upon those who raise banners of dissent for any reason.

“An exceptional writer as always Simon.” Noted Alexandria Vuiller as she tossed the missive into the firepit of the Aeltarys encampment. She felt deeply for Cesia, who had lost her husband throughout all of this.

“I suppose neither of us can keep a grasp on all of our children, can we?”

The politics of Beleth were lost on her, she couldn’t be less interested, but Cesia? God she just hoped Cesia would be alright.

The Baroness of Perduran and Governor of Anatis, Cesia Grisblood-Maravilla, took a sigh of relief once all the documents her and the Crown Prince Simon collaborated on and placed her quill back into the inkwell.

"I only wish for peace in our time, at least as long as we can before war rips at the world once more.." She commented as she looked to Simon Peter ( @i.uomini)

Maddock lay still by the riverbank, his breath coming in short. His heart still beat, but only time would tell if someone would find him, and if he would live long enough to see that the dream he had thought crushed had survived. That he was proven wrong. That there is still hope.

A bird landed on Aelyn's shoulder as he sat, reading in a tavern.

"What's this..?"

The Maehr asked as he opened and read the contents of the missive

"Shameful."

"Wisdom, God may grant to us, Your Ladyship." -+- "Peace, must be won by it. With His favor, of course." Simon peter sat and stared onto the table with his hands in his lap... contemplating the coming consequences of this noble reconciliation.

A Blood Royal of the Numenedain, rich with both the blood of the Harrenites and the blood of the Novellen had taken an interest in the missives coming out of Lotharia and now Beleth. He was hardly amused by it all. Fitting then, he thought, that all the traitors who would cast off his cousin's family would be betrayed by their so-called allies. So Castamir was morbidly curious as he read and imagined them all eating each other as war with Idunia and the Empire loomed.

"We wanted freedom, the freedom of religion, freedom of choice, freedom of movement, and the freedom to spread our unfettered wings and..." he recited, his voice trailing off before amending the statement for them. "To backstab the last vestiges of our allies, dishonor our compatriots, and taint the legacy of a kingdom with the courage to die with dignity."

Like much of the news he gathered from his southern kin. He kept this missive. He liked documenting history; he had not given up on his archeological dreams yet. Though much had kept him busy. But in this case, he considered creating a bin titled 'Morons...'

Aurelian read the first sentence and read no more. "Does she know he murdered her husband..?"

The Grand Knight of Beleth, Ser Aviel, would sign off on the documents as a witness to this document's creation and the one that accompanied it.

"Ave Belethia Indivisum." Spoke the Helfgott, sharing a smile to the Crown Prince and the Baroness of Perduran.
