The Fox of Remembrance

A lost child in a snowstorm.

And so stood. - A fox made of an odd wood. - Pink of colour. - Its tail flickering in the air. - Looking with some odd, round eyes. - Sometimes empty. - Other times mimicking whatever the one staring seeks! - How cute it stood. .  A flowing design of a Sakura tree moving down its body. - And right under its left paw. .  - A mana seal, resembling a fox. - How beautiful it looked, glowing a light magenta when touched.

The Broken Script

Deep in its mind. - Memories bestowed. - Upon its very being. - Own them, it did not. - Hold them close. - It did. - Like a speck of ice. - Falling into the endless Abyss. . . - Just to melt. - For the world did not care.

Chapter One: The flickering dream. - Too far to be touched.

Long ago. - In the depths of the snow. - Stood a little fox. - A child at best. - As its eyes looked above to the sky.

Long ago. - In the depths of the world. - Stood a grey fox. - An elder. - Some would say. - Staring down at its child.

Its mouth open. - As it told the stories of old. - Stories of the ancient. - Once forgotten. - Tale or truth. - We never know.

Its voice dreamed of freedom. - Freedom for its child. - So. - It gave a secret. - A secret to follow.

And so the young listened. - Deeply and truthfully. - As it remembered. . .

Yet time passed. - And the cold has reached the elder. - And the child remained. - Alone. - Forgotten.

But his memories remain. - Carved into its mind. - As it grew older and older. - A blessing remembered.

The blessing of the mimic. - To flicker your tail in the air. - To step on the ground with lightness. - To let them believe. - Believe what they wish.

Chapter Two: TBD

The Settled Stories

Stories once told. - Once written in stone. - By who else by its own hand? - By who else but its own soul? - Some to be told. - Some to be preserved. - Remembered till the end of time. - Till the end of life arrived. - Or was bestowed upon its very writer. - For these. - Were simple trinkets. - For these. - Were simple memories.

Chapter One: The lost. - Now bound to remain. - Now bound to reminiscence.

Before time once was. - Before time once flickered forth. - There stood a man.

A man with red hair. - Standing forward against what stood. - Standing forward against what was to come.

Yet time is nothing. - Nothing but rot.

Oblivion will take them all. - For he is None.

None stepped forth. - In bloodshed and demise.

For just over a shield. - For just over a piece of burning steel.

All of them fell. - Children killed. - Mothers gone. - And soldiers fallen.

So now he asks. - As he stands forth to the fox itself. - Why have a name? - If he fell and lost?

Why bear meaning. - If he simply is no more? - If he is but a roaming graven in the depths?

The fox shook its head. - And simply shrugged.

What is life? - If not a road of meaning through it all? - What is death? - But a new beginning forth demise?

And its words spoke. - And None nodded forth.

For now it agreed. - That beyond demise. - Its story went on. - For None. - Was its name.

For None. - Was now bound to the Fox.

To roam till the end of time.
